Settle down, Beavis. It's changed now, but was originally Jason Guida.

He's probbaly right but after the lackluster performance against Noons and a busted up PCL I don't think Melendez beating Thomson will prove much

whats up with this nonsense hype on Melendez?

yes he is good but to even argue his the No.1 lightweight

    is being idiotic

i was there when the hype started Melendez TKO Kawajiri

and yes it was impressive but it does not justifies

him being consider even a Top 3 LW

He has only fought 3 times since 2010 with only 1 finish

i would rank Chadler and Alvarez above him until he proves

himself , Thompson is a step up for sure

will see how that fight goes.

He hasn't been fighting the most recognized names in MMA, but he has avenged his loses and still getting better at everything. Plus, he has beaten Clay as well, it was a very close fight but he got the nod. Thompson is not a step up, him winning that fight isn't going to do much except keep him at his current standing 3-4 LW. The hype started way before the Kawajiri fight. I have him in the top 5 LW. The only problem is that he can only do so much in SF, he needs to be in the UFC. But i can see why he isn't, it isn't because he is no good, if he leaves there is going to be a big hole in SF.
