he said the same kind of thing before the franklin fight, that he wasnts one more title run, but then he got ko'd again...i tink chuck mit be missin the point, cos if he makes another title run, his chin will be exposed....again, so i hope he makes the right decision and retires

I agree 100%, chuck showed he still has all the physical abilities to compete in the Franklin fight but his chin is gone, there's too many dangerous strikers at LHW (Machida, shogun, rampage, jones ect...) and he just can't take the damage he used to be able to.

Yeah right! He lost his last 6 fights! By vicious knockouts. You think Dana is going to put him in title contention if he beats a nobody yeah right, CHUCK just retire and take a cush job as a promoter or a behind the scenes guy for the UFC! Why add anymore embarassment to your legacy? Is it worth it? Your legacy is already blemished do you want to make it worse?

He lost 5 of his last 6 and 4 were by tko/ko... Either way the point remains. Chuck will always be remembered for his heart and contribution to the sport, but its that time. He needs to hang it up. Certain ppl say that "his losses are all to awesome fighters," but if he can't beat "awesome" fighters then how does he expect to make a legitimate title run?

Chuck could fight like 2 more fights and then retire with a win!

he can beat tito for sure!

and maybe a fight with Forrest since forrest wont KO him. give him fights but not top fights.

i will see the iceman fight win or lose but i would like to see the Iceman go out with a win.

he just has to retire his chin is not there anymore and hasnt been there since the rampage fight. he just doesnt have what it takes to make another run at the title especially in a wieght division that is so stacked

Imo, chuck should retire, but if he fights again he should wait for his moments like he did in his prime, now he always goes in for the kill and gets k.o'ed

T666, chuck does have a lot more brain damage than overeem, when you hear chuck speaking now or in the past, it's a different person.

Overeem is in his prime, chuck defenitly is over it.

Chuck is just not the man he was.

That actually is true. He talks very weird now. I wonder if its from brain damage or his out of the ring issues though.

Remember he started speaking weird after his "partying" days, not when the knockouts started.

Look at his older interviews from 5 years ago or more, he didnt talk like that. He used to be pretty upbeat and well spoken. Now hes quieter and mumbles.... and when he talks he pauses a lot like hes having trouble putting his thoughts in to words.

Damn, I love Chuck, but his chin incredible is gone since his fight with Rashad.

I hate to say that but I think it's time for him to retire...

Its going to postpone his retirement by.... one fight haha. Nah but seriously he has earned the right to do what he wants. If he wants to fight, we should commend him.

If Chuck wants to do another title run it has to be in Strikeforce because Dana wont let him in because he cares about Chuck

the worst thing about MMA are the fans. i dont know how everybody can turn on a guy who made us fall back in love with the ko. im routing for you chuck, you put em away when you want to put em away.

I don't think anyone is turning on Chuck. I remember him back in the day when he was champion.

I just don't wanna keep seeing him get Ko'd bad style, as since rashad fried his noodles, he ain't got a chin no more. And instead of being remembered for the great champ that he was, he will be remembered for the champ who didn't know when to quit.
