Chuck Liddell
Posted on June 13, 2010, 09:42 PM by johnedgeChuck "The Iceman" Liddell is a legend in MMA. Though the "Iceman" has lost 5 of his last six fights, he is still considered one of the greats in MMA history.
Quality wins over Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Alistar Overeem, and Wanderlei Silva you have to give the man credit for bringing MMA to the United States. Chuck and Randy Couture have help make this sport mainstream in America and now all around the world. I think overall all the MMA fighters have respect for Chuck, maybe not Tito, but overall he is a legend and well respected by all of them.
One thing is striking and hits you the wrong way. Why does Dana White say, "I don't have one sad feeling for Chuck Liddell."
This does not show respect and it shows the lack of respect Dana White has for his fighters. All he cares about is $$$. He doesn't care about the fans, the fighters, and just people in general. Will the Fertitta bros have to do some Dana chewing? I don't know. Does he have some good fight cards? Absolutely.
Dana White is a great businessman and again puts on some the most incredible shows. This may not happen within the next few years, but in 5 years the UFC could be in trouble if he continues to butcher and blast guys who just retired.

I stopped reading as soon as I got to the part about what Dana White said... I think ur a little slow... What he was trying to say is that he doesnt feel sad because Chuck had a great career and went out fighting strong. Had he sat there and said he felt sorry for the guy like Chuck was pathetic then that would have just tarnished his legacy... What are u talking about?? Are u just looking for a reason to write some B.S. so u can talk trash about Dana and the UFC?
Nope. Just writing another perspective. Look I have good sources and guys I talk to that are fighters. If you read the article from another website, I don't want to give the name, then you will see what I am talking about. I think he should of not made the comment. It made it sound like he didn't care. I am not here to slam Dana White and give him a bad name, but I understand how I wrote this past article could lead people to it being a slam, just like Dana's comment.
Do I like Dana White? No. Is he a great businessman? Yes. I think you either like the guy or not. Which is good, I don't think there are any grey areas with him. I am from Kentucky and you either like Louisville or you like UK that is how we were brought up. So to answer you question about slamming Dana, it is NO I am not. Just giving another perspective on Dana.
YES u are, and now u are trying to retract which makes u even lamer. Nevertheless, ur nonsense about sources or whatever makes absolutely zero sense..... What the hell can a source tell you about his statement? His intentions behind that statement are clear to anyone with half a brain man. Any other interpretation is just that, someone's interpretation.... Therefore whether its Joe Blow from Idaho, or Ariel Helwani, its nothing more than someones interpretation, which is more or less an opinion and if its the interpretation you have presented then its ridiculous and uneducated, but lets be real..... I think I can speak for everyone when I say there is no "source," but rather a very lame attempt at solidifying ur dumb-ass rant.....
Dude stop using 2.0 section to post comments, that is what the comment section is for, 2.0 is for threads concerning breaking news, videos, fights or preview/reviews, not a big page for you to moan on
Then why not have mods do the breaking news. According to the rules we can not copy and paste items from other places.
I don't care what you all say. I think your some people's opinions suck too. Oh well this is what makes this country great. So what I don't agree with you. Again, this why we agree to disagree. People won't agree on everthing you say so you might want to grow up a little.
Its not like that dude if u want 2 express ur opinion do it in a proper article, what u posted was a comment u should put it on the wall r on a thread, if u want us 2 hear ur opinion in a post to do with news or other articles then format it properly, this isnt a sherdog forum
I think you misunderstood maybe John. Chuck is actually one of Dana's real friends....he doesnt have many I bet.
He doesnt want to see Chuck going down in flames, he wants Chuck's name to remain high in MMA's past.
I understand what you are saying Hype, but if you look at the article and you have to think, wow Dana might not care for Chuck after all. It is almost like he talks on both sides of his mouth.
I think whether Dana smashes him or not Chuck will always be a legend just like Couture. I appreciate being able to talk to you, but I want you to know I am not hiding under a screen name, like some and I just tell it like I see it.
You should stop slamming Dana, if you want to post stuff, post news, vids or polls.. Not opinions
I agree Nik... And I am not just picking on the poster of this thread, but in general. Its been a growing trend lately to post the most uninteresting, biased, opinion based ramblings. It wasnt long ago that 2.0 was just as interesting as the main wall. Guys really went out of their way to go and find interesting and original news each day. Now 2.0 is full of repetitive YouTube vids and people typing up their whining rants about the same irrelevant topics that have already been debated time and time again on every other thread pertaining to those subjects.... Ugh..
I thought you couldn't post news and videos from another website? If you copy and paste them that would lead to copyright infractions.
Thats why you educate yourself by reading the news and then paraphrase and rewrite into ur own words or articles.... The websites dont own the actual news... Every MMA site gets their own news, but additionally news from other sites and sources. Thats why you site your sources! No one ever said to copy and paste from other sites... Thats plagiarizing! As far as videos are concerned, most are posted in places such as YouTube or other hosting sites and are available to be shared publicly....
yeah thats what this is for to write coments, post real stuff
It is a real as it gets, bud.
Maybe we should all just not comment on posts like this.
Alright, I was wrong. I read another websites stuff and I believe it now. I would tell you what I got from another website that I guess is absolutely boggus. I apologize. Hype if you want you can get rid of the article or you can leave it up to tar and feather me. I still don't like Dana, but again I give the devil his due when it comes to promoting fights and he can do it. I just really wish he could get Fedor and I know it can happen if we demand it happen.
Im only a regular member like you John, I dont remove or touch anything here. On a subject similar to this, I would probably title this thread "Fan Opinions: Is Dana disrespecting Chuck? Or trying to protect him?"
That way fans can post up their opinions and you dont end up being a target...........Im a good target just ask anyone here hahah
He is.
I think its funny when guys talk about about Dana like they actually know him or what's going on in that bald bastards head. I bet the guy that posted this hasn't been in the same room as Dana and just could not wait to jump on the "Dana is just a moneywhore" train.
Have you sit in a room with Dana? If so, tell him the fans want Fedor and get the deal done.
I think you mean "sat". Maybe you should use your lunch break to work on your english.
Also I post during my lunch break and at night so this isn't my life were I check this every minute of the day. Get jobs please.
