“I’ll tell you something: I’m not sure, but I’ll guess he won’t like to trade punches with me, I believe he’ll try to take me down. But if he wants to strike, he can come because I’m 100% ready to go... I’m flying, man, and if God blesses me I’ll bring this win. I know Cerrone is an experience guy, tough, one of the tops of the division, so if I can get a win it’ll be great. In case I win, I believe I’ll start figuring among the tops of the division. I’ve been working on it for a while now, I got some good wins in Ultimate and I’m sure that if I defeat Cerrone I can join those top guys and, maybe, have a chance at the belt. - For more from Charles Oliveira, visit Tatame.com

In what promises to be one of the most entertaining bouts on this Sunday's UFC on Versus 5 line-up, touted Brazilian prospect Charles "do Bronx" Oliveira will go head to head with former WEC contender Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone in hopes of taking another step up the crowded Lightweight latter.

After bursting on the scene with an impressive 41-second submission victory over Darren Elkins, Oliveira upped the ante in his following outing by choking out once-beaten TUF 8 winner Efrain Escudero. Though his 14-fight winning streak was snapped when he was caught in a kneebar courtesy of Jim Miller at UFC 124, Oliveira responded to the setback by turning in yet another convincing performance in his latest effort against Nik Lentz. However, while the match-up was awarded Fight of the Night honors, Oliveira's victory was later overturned by the state athletic commission. So what's the word LowKick'ers? Will the unquestionably talented Brazilian get past Cerrone this Sunday? And if so, is it enough to prove he's worthy of joining "those top guys" in the title mix?

Cowboy will stand™ with Oliveira. Pretty sure that it will be Oliveira that is going for takedown first.
