Champion of Champions

The Ultimate Fighting Championship's undisputed heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar, is on a path to clear out his worthy opposition in the heavyweight division and with his recent submission win over Shane Carwin, although unconvincing, it seems he is not far from throwing aside all the top contenders (for the time being). Maybe it is in the ability of a fellow champion to conquer the Minnesota beast.

With their current weight and form, which champion has the best chance against Brock Lesnar

  1. 1. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua - LHW
  2. 2. Anderson "The Spider" Silva - MW
  3. 3. Georges "Rush" St-Pierre - WW
  4. 4. Frank "The Answer" Edgar - LW

I personally think Anderson Silva would beat him without having a hard time

Anderson? Against Lesnar? Hah... He could hit Lesnar all he wants, and never drop him.

I voted Frankie just because I want to see it. First MMA fighter launched in to orbit.

i think brock would get toyed with by a silva. silva avoids tds for 5 rounds and he wouldnt have to cut no weight so he'd be around 220 - 230 and the pace would have brock gassing in 4th round

. brock curling up also would probably get devastated by a few knees. the gulf in class is that big i doubt his weight advantage would get him through that one.

I agree this is a stupid question. Why don't you put Shrek on the list while you're there. Or how about Goro From mortal kombat. They look the same minus the extra two arms.

Anderson would definitely have the best bet against him. I think he could easily out strike him and avoid takedowns for 5 rounds winning by decision. After seeing UFC 116 I think its unlikely that Silva could knock him out.

Gracie beat many fighters much bigger than himself because he outclassed them. Brock would be outclassed by all of them, the only question would be if it would be sufficient to compensate for his size and strength. I would fancy Rua and Silva as both having a real chance, but below that i think size difference would be too much.

your logic is wrong. size does not always win. usually skill overcomes size.
