Last week we saw a rare calm interview with Chael P. Sonnen. This week he is back to his fight-promoting ways. In this video excerpt from TSN's "Off the Record," Sonnen explains his personal trainer from his last 3 fights, former WWE champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Apparently Sonnen asked Austin for advice when he was headed down to Brazil as public enemy number one, something that has since changed with his bout versus Anderson Silva now in Las Vegas, NV. Of course Sonnen adds his own theatrics to the short interview. Is this mixing of MMA and pro wrestling good or bad for the sport overall?

So you are saying he will be the Al Bundy of the MMA community?

That was hilarious. I don't know about his timing as far as fighting goes, but as far as comedy goes, he's been working hard.

Steve Austin was actually a defensive end who played college football on a scholarship, before he blew out his knee and joined the WWE circus, so I don't think Chael is going to him for pro-wrestling tips.

The WWE wrestlers will soon be coming to Sonnen for advice on selling matches.

It just so happens that he is pretty good at MMA and enjoys actual competition.

Chael provides entertainment both in and out of the cage. Comedian outside, skilled and savvy mma fighter inside the cage.

He is good at MMA but certainly does not enjoy actual competition. Not sure how you would back that!! The guy is funny for sure but most of the times he contradicts his own statements.

sonnen is a guy without ko power nor sumission skills, who only holds his opponent down to the ground....

    is that entertaining???

outside the cage he has a big mouth though, he could entertain as a circus clown for sure...

Chael submitted Brian Stann in round 2 and completely dominated the fight with wrestling.

He rocked Silva a couple of times with straight right punches.

Mike's right, he definetly provides entertainment.....the joke about the nogeuira brothers feeding the bus was hilarious.
