Chael Sonnen will "Shine like a Pagan Sun God" until he gets Silva rematch

"Let me ask you something: when you have a big project or plans for a big goal, do you let yourself get derailed by a whiny coworker that always finds an excuse to shovel work on someone else? NO! You do your work, you beat your obligations senseless, you shine like a pagan sun god, you make that whiny prat look foolish, you take their job, you laugh as they leave with a box of their effects, and you comfort their obviously unsatisfied wife by taking her out to dinner. I'm not cooling my heels just because Anderson's are kicked up on the sofa.

They have to come back to me eventually. No one has come as close as I have to dethroning him, and no one will. Eventually the fights will get so much MORE boring than they already are, and they will have to give me my rightful fight. ... We're thinking about my birthday next year in Portland. There will be fireworks, go-go dancers, exploding cars, and a Brazilian sacrifice. I will parade Anderson's unconscious corpse around the Rose Garden to celebrate."

"The Spider" can run, but he can't hide.

At least, that appears to be Chael Sonnen's take on things. Since Sonnen's "call-out heard 'round the world" following his UFC 136 victory over Brian Stann, there has been little word on who will get the next crack at Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. The winner of the upcoming Michael Bisping-"Mayhem" Miller showdown has been mentioned as a possibility, even the recently triumphant Mark Munoz threw his name in the hat with his own post-fight call-out of sorts. But, whoever it is, Sonnen's not planning on slowing his roll. In fact, he says as long as he keeps "shining like a pagan sun god," the promotion will have no choice but to grant him a rematch with the champ.

In an increasingly shallow division, Sonnen's logic is hard to argue against, but what do you think LowKick'ers? Was Munoz's win over Chris Leben enough to convince you that he's ready to wear UFC gold? How about Bisping should he emerge victorious over Miller?

HEY GUYS!!.. WUTS UP TO MY FELLOW LINKERS!

..my opinion Dana should make Sonnen fight Vitor before a title shot. Anderson had to fight him and defeated him. Now contenders 2 and 3 are on the loser bracket they should fight each other..

(since both guys think its double elimination for the title anyway.)

Yea just get it over with, anderson isn't getting any younger so he might as well fight sonnen 1st(probably will) and then the other guys can have their run on the highlights.

Munoz can wait, i don't see why some guys want a title shot when they can work on their game(condit). It's not like he's turning 37 or anything, nor is he only considered a man because of a pill, so he can wait and train.

Mayhem has an insane ground game, bisping is OK, but neither are really hard to figure out as to what would happen with AS.

You think? Or maybe "Chael" is admitting that sometimes he lays it on a little think even for himself.

I think Stylistically Munoz is a great fight for Sonnen and could beat him.

I find that most Sonnen fans enjoy the humor and are also Anderson Silva fans. I know I am a big fan of both. I find most (exclusive) Silva fans swear a lot and are generally unhappy, angry people. Smile guys, its just MMA.

Sad that Brian Stann had to give you that perspective...if it was just MMA, why use PED's? I'm just saying.

BTW, Mr. Sonnen, I am a fan of your work, both on the mic and in the octagon.

What are you talking about, most Chael fans seems to hate Silva & if you're a fan of both like you sure don't show it.

But on a serious note i would like to send a shout out to Lowkick member Sho'nuff who last Friday walked away from a devistating car crash, keep tour head up playboy

@ Hate, I've said it before and I'll say it again - let me be clear, there is no more naturally skilfull martial artist in the world than Anderson Silva. I'm a big fan of GSP but his accomplishments are more achieved through hard work than Silva. Silva is GIFTED!.

I don't think most Chael fans hate Silva, we're just having fun. I feel bad that I'm that annoying to you. I'd like to see you happier. Tell you what, if you've not had fun ranting at me send me a PM. I'll retire to Oregon.

Whether its chael or not, more than likely isnt. I still find him hilarious, he's in your face and real whether you like him or not... you know who he is and what he thinks and what hes going to do. I totally believe that if anderson's whole broken ribs isnt true that hes actually going to be dethrone. Chaels a monster straight up gsp with a meaner dameener on steroids.

"I will parade Anderson's unconscious corpse around the Rose Garden to celebrate."

As opposed to parading a "concious" corpse around?

The Sonnen who 'almost' defeated one of the P4P best in the world I can respect. The WWE talking Sonnen I do not.

This fight will happen sooner or later. In the meantime, maybe Sonnen can get his head out of ass long enough to fight someone else...

He should start with the guys that submitted him...it's a long list.
