Chael Sonnen and others talk about what is really keeping MMA out of NY
Posted on March 20, 2012, 05:10 PM by Trent ReinsmithAs everyone is painfully aware, mixed martial arts remain illegal in New York State. Steven Crowder recently released a rather lengthy and in depth look at situation in New York and he boiled it down to the simple fact that the Culinary Union has the politicians on their side.
The arguments that MMA is pure brutality just don’t hold water, as Renzo Gracie points out, stating that he would be very worried if his son would tell him that he was going to become a boxer.
Crowder uses video of Ariel Helwani and Chael Sonnen to detail how the Culinary Union’s beef with the Fertitta brothers has helped keep MMA out of New York.
The video is informative and Sonnen’s remarks are particularly scathing when it comes to the politicians that are keeping MMA out of the state.
What do you think LowKick'ers, will MMA ever be legal in NY?

I don't like steve crowder at all. He is an annoying little ****.
pot, kettle, black
Nothing really new for most of us but a really well put together video and really sums up a lot of good points.
Its clearly because of the politics and its just a bunch of bull if you ask me.
ROFL @ James tony ^^
what james?
I like this Sonnen, the other Sonnen is getting real annoying.
The Sonnen we know in the media is just an act, from what i have seen from the other Sonnen, he is a really nice guy, and goes out of his way for fans.
