i like wandi alot lots of respect for him but he has been doing good lately.. bisping proved that he deserves to fight the top 5.. i think he should deserve the title shot IF he can beat sonnen..

I hope this happens, can you imagine the tension and rivalry between these 2 guys!? It would be a ratings winner for sure. The trash talking and pranks played on each othe,r and between teams, will be hillarious! I think the fight between Chael and Mike would be interesting too .... Chael is an excellent wrestler and will aim to smother Bisping on the ground.Bisping however, is very good at scrambleing and getting back to his feet ... and above all, taking little damage off his back. I think if Bisping is able to get back to his feet or even avoid some takedowns this fight could be very intersting.

I dont think fans were looking to Urijah Faber/Dominick Cruz for the TUF coaching spots first.....Everyone has been wanting Chael Sonnen vs Michael Bisping since the day Chael told Bisping he better stfu or else he will bury him where he stands.

no matter what anyones opinion on sonnen is, it would be great to have him as a coach just to see what hed say, and if bisping got wound up by riveras three or four videos then imagine what six weeks with sonnen would do to him! haha

Like it or not, the number one purpose of the show is entertainment. The number two purpose is to groom fighters. This will be very entertaining.



Again, like it or not, the UFC is a sport, not combat. The number one purpose is to finish your opponent OR get enough points to win. If Sonnen gets the points by lying on Bisping and Bisping can't prevent it then Sonnen wins. I'm not fond of the type of fight but that's the way the game rules go.



Think about this: Sonnen will have Bisping wound up so tight that steam will be coming out of his ears. Bisping will be so fired up he will be trying to rip Sonnen's head off (and spit on Sonnen's corner men AND Sonnen's wife).

its just anoying, i watch the show cause these guys are future fighters and i wana see how their progressing, plus u get to c some of the better fighters be coaches. I mean Bisping talks enough shit to himself already, if u give him someone who will talk shit back wont shit get done. If it happens, it may just be the funniest TUF season we've seen in a while.

Them being coaches is meant for tv. Especially Chael having that much exposure I really don't know what he will do but it will draw alot of audience like me wondering what he would do. This will be Bisping 3rd stint on the show if they are selected. So, we know these two guys will definately butt heads. This is definately meant for t.v.

Chael has already been sitting idle for some time. Next December seems way way too long to go without a fight.

Chael is the man, and I don't like Bisping, but I think he'll be good starting fodder for Chael's return. . . plus while Bisping's fighting skill is heavily overrated, his trash-talking skill is great, so it'll be awesome for Chael and Bisping to tear it up.



I mean, don't get me wrong, GSP V Kos was a great season, but GSP was too nice to make it as interesting as it could have been.

This fight would have significance in the MW division, but the biggest plus would be that it would make good television and PR.



If the two bad boys of the MW division coach TUF, expect the ratings to go through the roof. Of course, many fans will complain bitterly, but they will be paying attention--and arguments will abound.



Just as motorist cannot resist gawking at a traffic accident as they crawl past the scene, MMA fans will have the guilty pleasure of watching two of the most polarizing figures in the UFC duke it out, verbally and physically.



I think the Lesnar vs. Dos Santos TUF did not yield many 'reality bites' to tittilate fans--so a TUF with these two prizes will be sure to generate a number of 'reality scenes'. Sonnen's gift for the humorous insult will serve him well against a less articulate Bisping.

I think you will find Bisping is just as articulate as Sonnen. I have never witnessed anything to suggest otherwise. Anti Brit bias??

as far as television goes its a win win situation take the two biggest villains in mma one who is a great talker and heckler the other a hot head that cant take a ounce of critisicm let alone insults. put them together and watch the fireworks fly. plus the fight makes sense too chael needs a good fight to get back in the mix and bisping needs a top five opponent to get a title shot.

It would make good T.V. but neither deserve a shot at the title. I can't see Bisping beating Maia, Nate, Okami, Vitor, Chael or Palhares and I can't see Chael deserving a strait shot at the title after beating Bisping. I would love to watch the show but it is a joke to make it for title contention.

In the MW division there is not a lot of choice--that is if you want to see Anderson Silva fight again.



I wouldn't give Maia another chance soon, and Vitor just lost.. Nate has not stepped up to the plate when he needed to prove he was deserving of another shot. Palhares was squashed by Marquart. Wanderlei won't fight Silva, and Leben just lost to Stann.



So that leaves Okami, Sonnen, Bisping--with Stann maybe earning a shot later.



I am hoping Okami fights AS soon, so actually, a match between Sonnen and Bisping would be a logical next fight for the winner of the Okami vs. Silva fight.

Okami is the next deserving title contender and GSP seems to be the next fight coming if Dana is talking truth and in that time we could have more matchups within the division to seperate who should and shouldn't have the shot. I believe Nate vs Palhares was a lucky stint for Nate as Palhares was sure he was greesed and was preoccupying himself with the ref. Maia is a better option than Bisping and Chael needs to get a win without being over the limit first. I think a match between Stann and Nate would be more appropriate for title contension and then after that Chael vs Maia 2 for next in line and then Bisping can fight Palhares( who will quickly win in all likelyhood) and then fight Chael or Maia for the title shot and I doubt he gets that far. There are other options than Bisping vs Chael for the shot which is absurd.

I don't think it is fair to say the winner of Bisping vs. Sonnen should be a contender is absurd. Anderson Silva is so dominant, it seems absurd to me that any current MW will defeat him.



I personally don't watch the TUF series, except to catch the fights at the end of the show--but I recognize that the show is popular with many fans and is responsible for bringing in more fans to the sport.



That said, I can't fault Dana White and the UFC for wanting a reality show which draws a lot of viewers. The UFC is both a sport and business. Add to that the fact that Chael Sonnen, love 'em or hate 'em, came closest to defeating Anderson Silva. Bisping, love 'em or hate 'em, has a decent record in the division and he has not had a title opportunity yet--unlike Belfort, Marquardt and Maia.



I agree that Palhares has potential, but the fact remains, he lost to Nate, which does not put him in a better position than Bisping or Sonnen. I agree that Nate is working his way back up the ladder, but he is not the most dynamic personality for the TUF series.



I am sorry, but when I look at all the available options, I cannot say that a Bisping vs. Sonnen is absurd--especially as I believe that many fans are interested in what Anderson Silva would do to either Sonnen or Bisping.

BTW: I did mention the GSP fight because I am not certain it will happen that soon if GSP defeats Shields.



I don't think GSP wants that fight immediately, and I believe Dana White is publicly applying pressure. I want to see Anderson Silva fight this year so I am rooting for a fight with Okami before the GSP match, if it ever develops.

I know what you're saying but A few fights can happen in the division since AS has a fight lined up already and can give us a better picture for title contention.

If the wrestler can close the distance before Bisping can spit on him, then I give the fight to Sonnen.



If, however, Bisping can land some spit in Sonnen's eye's (and I hear LowKick's own "slickrick" / Mrs. Bisping has been working with MB @ Bisping's gym, acting as a "spit-target")...(then) get him to the ground, mount Sonnen and begin to whale down spit and snot on his face, clogging up his mouth and nostrils & making it impossible for Chael to breath...then yes, Bisping could win. At least it's worked every day (so far) on slickrick / Mrs. Bisping. And if "The Spit" is the best "spitter" in The UFC and accomplishes his goal, then he owes it all to slickrick's (now weathered) face; three cheers for Mrs. Bisping "the spit-target" ; surely no one else other than slickrick, would put up with it.



If he does win and fight Anderson - he has no hope. Anderson is far too fast and illusive a fighter for Bisping's spit; he'll walk right through it and never be touched. And no matter how much slickrick / Mrs. Bisping the spit-target wants or tries, to do his best for Bisping in preparation for the fight, he's just not quick enough or agile enough, to mimic The Spider's movements.



I'll pick - Sonnen, by CSAC sanctioned, steroid induced beating.

Neither of these guys have shown that they can compete and or win with that weight classes top opponents and or make it an exiting fight. Dana I hope u read this comment yes these guys can talk trash with the best of them but to have the winner get a title shot is ridiculous.. this will be the first season I don't watch if they r the coaches..

bisping learned to not talk trash after the hendo fight if u watched any of his fights after that.. the only reason he was trash talking is because rivera pissed him off

It was bad enough that Bisping was a coach one time, never mind possibly going back to coach again. This is not a poke at him as a fighter, but as a person. His blatant display of childish immaturity the first time around should have told Dana that Bisping should not coach kid's Little League, never mind MMA.



But, this is what reality TV is all about, ratings, and Mr. White is the ratings pimp if I've ever seen one. He exploits fighters any way he can on his show and he gets the big ratings. I am just afraid it is becoming more about drama and not so much fighting. He exploited Kimbo, and that little punk Junie Browning for all they were worth, and he will do it again. With the current TUF season looking a little drab in the drama department, you know White will be looking to ramp it up a bit for the rest of the year. Let's face it, Lesnar and Dos Santos aren't going to start bickering like little kids now, are they. Dos Santos can't even string three words of English together. I love the guy, but he's not an English major.



Don't get me wrong, I would love to see Sonnen smack talk the shirt right off Bisping's back, but the downside is that Bisping is too dumb and slow to catch even half of what verbal goodies that Sonnen willl throw at him, and Bisping will most likely end up just standing there with a dumb-ass look on his face trying to figure out what the hell Sonnen said for half the show.



Let's face it, crook, cheater, or not, Sonnen is a sharp dude, and Bisping was probably dropped a few times as a child, on his head. I guess the end result will be we get to see Sonnen ground, pound, and smash c*cky ass Bisping through the mat when they fight afterwards, so it can't be all [removed]

Bisping did well on his last season as coach.
