even if he beats silva, i would not dare say he is the best fighter in the world. any one can win on any given night, but he has not and will not accomplish the things that Silva, Couture, Fedor, etc...have done in their career.

He would be the best MW but no way in hell would it make him #1 P4P. Being the best fighter in the world means you have to be great everywhere, not just a bad style match up for the champ of your division.

his fight record is crap...he has no knock out power....and he has to take ped's because he isnt good enough without them...he talks shite all the time ...Bisping beat him last fight (we all know this ) Silva will destroy him this time then I hope he gets a fight with Lombard who will out wrestle him and knock him out ....the future is bleak for this over rated average fighter.

The only people who think Bisping won that fight are the people who scored it for Bradley against Pacquiao....and continue to stick with saying Bradley won after the fight stats came out.

@highlife This is where stupid fans get lost. It doesnt matter your record. What matters is how you fight now. Chael Sonnen has been #2 MW for a couple years now (just about). Silva lost to Takase and a couple other cans but that is in the past. Silva is a lot better than when he was then.





This is how I know you are a Silva fan, because you refuse to use logic in your responses. Most Silva fans have proven to be very incapable of intelligence.



But there are some smart Silva fans out there (though very few) I like to talk to them because it is a friendly butting of heads, but there is mutual respect for both fighters.

I believe we are going to see the end of the reign of Anderson this time... I think his BJJ has improved exponentially, and I said that immediately after the brian stann fight, he took him down, passed guard, and locked in the arm triangle in seconds... the old chael could never have done that... not even to stann, who i admit is no wizard on the ground, but still... it was pretty impressive nonetheless!



I predict 25mins of the same, or maybe to all of our surprise, a finish from chael.. possibly even a sub.. people can say bla bla anderson is a BB in bjj, but, there are levels, and he is not THAT good at bjj... i honestly believe palhares would win a fight vs anderson EASILY... since he has the power to take him down which maia and leites could not, palhares certain would, and the spider would lose a leg... theres still a slim chance of a flash KO on chael, but, I dont see it happening, he can take a shot and resort to the takedown to get himself out of trouble if he's ever in it.. just has to avoid triangles n arm bars, which im sure he will...

Brasil, I can't speak to "all time" but there is no question that Silva is the greatest fighter out there right now in terms of innate skill, timing, recent record, winning streak, dominance etc.



Chael's skill set matched up well with Anderson's deficits as evidenced by their last fight. You can't ignore what Silva fan's have pointed out however, and that is that overall, Sonnen has lots of weaknesses not the least of which is his record. Don't mistake Sonnen fans like myself for being stupid.



Thus, if Silva win his status is elevated only because he obviously learned some wrestling in the interim. If Sonnen wins, however, his status is elevated to a much greater degree because of the relative size of the accomplishment.

I do get you bruce....one thing we all dont know about the last fight is the extent of AS rib injury and the impact of Sonnens Testosterone level, so if those factors are not in play anymore we could see a total destruction....or maybe the injury was just an excuse....i guess we will find out soon.

guys are dropping like flies with injuries and pulling out of events which makes me wonder how bad his rib injury was in the first bout.

I'm just happy that we finally get to see a final result. All that speculation will be a thing of the past.

A beutifull about Cheal is not how he is talking but a way he fights and push hard... No one can takedown someone so many times and after that still push hard....
