Catching up with Chuck Liddell at UFC 135
Posted on September 27, 2011, 04:52 PM by Trent ReinsmithWhen your name becomes code for being forced into retirement, it’s pretty obvious that the move was made somewhat against your will. That’s the place that UFC Hall of Famer Chuck Liddell currently occupies, retired after three straight knockout losses and hired as part of the UFC’s management team.
If you don’t believe that Liddell’s name has become a buzzword, note that even UFC president Dana White has used Liddell’s name in that manner, recently saying that he may have to “Chuck Liddell” Wanderlei Silva into retirement.
“The Iceman” was at UFC 135 over the weekend and the press was offered a chance to speak to the former UFC Champion. During his conversation with the press, Liddell did discuss his retirement, his current role with the UFC as well as his upcoming cameo on Hawaii Five-O.

"Made" to retire or not dont take anything away from Chuck. One of the best champ and fighter for a long time.
I really love to see Wanderlei fight but win or lose against Cung Le, he should retire after.
This might be the only one can beat Jon Jones in the Future !!!
wandy should retire he looks like a shell of his former self, i saw sakaraba fight the other day and that was just heart breaking
Anyone else notice how loudly Chuck breathes?
I don't think he is best suited as someone who should discuss company affairs with the public, he isn't the most well-spoken individual.
Dana didn't give him this post-fighting role in the UFC because he's a great orator....
He's one of the most loved UFC fighters of all time and a great person to be kept in the organization.
His interviews are a 100 times better then they used to be... watch his good morning Texas interview " http://youtu.be/huKeNWggSPA " what a gong show... he fell asleep... good to see him getting a little used to the camera's in his face getting words out that we understand.
I respect that he is trying and hopefully he gets even better
I would love for The Iceman get into the best shape of his life and fight Jon Jones.
I for one was glad to see Chuck retire not because i did not think he was any good or have ill feelings towards him, I believe that he was a great champion and I did not want to see him get knocked out over and over again.
