Good interview. Condit is a solid fighter and solid human being.
He has grown as a fighter--but he is in one of the toughest divisions in the UFC. There are so many fighters in this division which I would say could win on any given day--as Carlos said. Even guys like Kampmann, Koscheck, Diaz and Alves, with their recent losses, could come back and win--while others like Rory MacDonald and Anthony Johnson show promise and are gaining experience and momentum.
St. Pierre, Nick Diaz, Jake Shields, BJ Penn, Jon Fitch, Rick Story, Kim--the quality and depth of the division is sometimes overlooked due to GSP's dominance thus far.
Despite his talent and toughness, Condit has a rough road ahead of him, as do all the top WWs.
I like Condit hes a sick and exciting fighter 24 finishes out of 25 fights thats just crazy but I think Stun Gun will use his grappling to get the decision but I always look forward to Condit fights
i am really suprised that carlos doesnt get more love from the fans and the ufc as stated above 25 wins 24 finishes has never been in a boring fight only one loss in the ufc which if you saw it could of easily gone either way
Condit is nasty. the Dan hardy fight was beautiful. As was the McDonald fight, after Condit felt the sense of urgency. I can only hope to see Condit win this fight so someday we can see him in there with GSP or Marquardt. But man I don't get how Nate is gonna make 170. I suppose he was bulked up at 185, so maybe the muscle will just fall off. He's gonna be huge though. I suppose the strength of Okami was just too much for him.
I remember Condit's WEC days. I know when Dan Hardy insulted his striking and power that got under his skin. But i'll bet it also did, when Hardy said, " I love how he curls up his lip and does the mean face. It just makes me giggle every time I see it." lol. Hardy does talk way too much, but it was still funny hearing that in a british accent.

But Dong Kim is the opposite to Condit, i just hope Condit grappling can match Kim's and we get to see another Diaz vs Parisyan type of fight because if not , we will be having a looong boring fight.
People forget that Condit was a low-level (in regards to experience) blue belt during his days in the WEC, and still managed to win. Carlos has so such natural talent.
Personally, I think he should drop down to the LW division -- his size and developing KO power should be a terror to anyone in that division.

I love Condit he is my favorite WW and one of my favorite fighters all time!
