That would make for a pretty interesting fight, but from what I understand Koscheck is legitimately planning on moving up to 185. On his Twitter he said that he has asked to be on the UFC 136 card at Middleweight.

Koscheck is rumored to wanting another fight with Chris Leben which would be sweet. I love watching Leben lose.

Kos would be a great fight but whoever is the top contender

cause i think who ever he fights should be that 3rd rank if he wins his

next fight should be up for title and who ever is champ he should get

but if for some reason GSP loses, Daiz has good skills but GSP

regardless what some say he fights smart ask any fighter what they

think is smart and it has alot to do with the opponent any fighter that

came and pushed the fight GSP fought his ass off (hughes/BJ,ect..)

but if they came to survive he was careful not to over extend himself

and if have a legacy is smart...anyway if he loses he deserves immediate rematch if its for a belt but think its a super fight neither lose there status....but 1 win away from chance for the belt

Koscheck would be the only one that is free to fight although he wants to move to middleweight because all the rest of the top middle weights seem to be booked from what i've heard penn fitch 2 shields vs ellenburger even sanchez is fighting hughes

Now that's a fighter. Fights against Penn and Fitch are the most interesting, against Penn because it'd be a killer fight and against Fitch for two reasons, first because it would guarantee without a shadow of a doubt that Condit is the number 2 WW in the world, and also because I would love to see Fitch finally get knocked out.

Id like to see him fight Ellenberger or even Ebersole.

Ebersole has only 1 loss since 2007 and that was against Hector Lombard.

Why? That would be a step back at this point. Dong was an undefeated prospect with wins over Nate Diaz and Amir Sadollah. Furthermore, Condit has yet to be stopped in his UFC career and only lost to Kampmann in a razor close decision.

Ebersole is not even ranked in the top 10 nor is Ellenberger (who already lost to Condit).

I think Condit should get the next shot or at least a fight with Penn, Fitch or Shields.

Ebersole probably should be ranked higher .. not top Ten.

But he is 12-1 in his last 13 fights. I also think it would be an exciting match.

Condit is already getting a title shot .. this is a fight just to keep him warmed up in the meantime.

No point in calling out someone like Fitch (IMO) he is a serious grinder. Even if Condit won he may require some form of surgery.

Condit has lost to Shields. It was during an eliminattion tournament in which Shields also beat Okami. But that is neither here nor there; I would think that he has a chip on his shoulder with Jake's name on it based on that loss. I'd like to see this fight so Condit could prove his improvement by beating Shields via Unanimous decision. He could stuff the takedown and keep it standing. Pepper Shields up and show cage control and it should be no problem; that's the blueprint that GSP brought with him. Plus Shields just lost to the champ; but it was his first loss in 15 fights, so the gatekeeper spot is all his.

I said this from day one when he came over from the WEC.... watch out for Condit, he's coming for the belt.

Those are all horrible matchups for him. Condit has had problems against great wrestlers. he beat Jake Ellenberger, but it was a very close fight. Kos, Fitch, and Shields are all better wrestlers than him. Condit is a threat to finish the fight anywhere, but I would bet on him losing a decision to any of these guys.

doubt it, i think he could beat kos fitch and shields on the right night. Condit is a good fighter that will be a force no matter who he fights....

Yes, he could beat any one of them "on the right night" - which is why i said "Condit is a threat to finish the fight anywhere."

He damn near lost a decision to Rory MacDonald though (15 seconds away from either losing 29-28 or a 28-28 draw depending on the judges scoring of round 3). If Rory MacDonald can take him down and keep him down for most of 2 rounds, I have to believe that Fitch, Kos, and Shields, who are the three best guys at WW not named GSP at controlling guys on the ground, would be able to do it for 3 rounds and win a decision.

To conclude, yes it is possible that Condit would finish these guys, but it is more likely that they would beat him via decision.

It's 50/50 in my opinion. Condit has excellent striking, conditioning, and grappling (for a purple belt in BJJ), along with a gigantic heart.

It's difficult to say if he would be dominated by guys like Fitch, but there's really only one way to find out.

Condit is on fire right now but out of the three mentioned opponents i would like to see him fight Fitch the most as Shields and Kos are just likely to try and take him down constantly and grind out a boring decision cos that's their M.O. The form Condit is in at present anyway he would make it an exciting fight against any of them, Fitch is just my personal preference, i just hope Condit keeps his streak going cos i'd like to see him fight GSP for the title........
