Carlos Condit: I will most likely fight off my back against Georges St. Pierre
Posted on June 18, 2012, 11:33 AM by Anton GurevichInterim UFC Welterweight champion Carlos "The Natural Born Killer" Condit is expected to face Georges St. Pierre later this year, looking to become the undisputed UFC 170lbs champ. St. Pierre is currently recovering from a knee injury that sidelined him for nearly a year, while Condit made his way to the top with victories over Dong Hyun-Kim and Nick Diaz.
NBK is 28-5 in his MMA career, 5-1 in the UFC. Condit was the last WEC Welterweight champion, and held a record of 5-0 in the now-defunct promotion. In fact, Condit's only loss in the past seven years is against Martin Kampmann via Split Decision, back at UFC Fight Night 18.
Condit also spoke about the ongoing "TRT-debate", claiming that any type of enhancers just muddies the water of Mixed Martial Arts as a sport. Condit declared he never used performance enhancing drugs, and got where he is today thanks to his natural athletic abilities (quote via MMA.tv):
“I think it’s a slippery slope, you know what I mean? You let guys start using testosterone and it’s – where does it end? You know what I mean? I wonder, especially for younger guys, I know Frank Mir’s a little bit older and of course your testosterone levels kind of dip as you get older, but some of these younger guys, you know, guys maybe in their late twenties and thirties using testosterone replacement therapy, I wonder, I wonder why is there testosterone low in the first place? And I, my theory is they may have been using something in the past, because when you use steroids, your body, after you get off has a hard time bringing yourself up to natural levels. I don’t know man. I’m not going to judge anybody, but that’s just, that’s not – I got to where I am without ever ever using any performance enhancing drugs."

I can definetly see George fighting in November. In his last video he was training on the track and November is still four and half months away. I think he will be ready to fight.
I suspect we will have confirmation from GSP's camp within the next two months because St Piere will need to decide at that point whether he is fit to enter a 8-10 week intense training camp. If he is not fit in two months then a replacement bout will be organised for condit.
Fingers crossed.
well duh Condit, Stevie Wonder could of seen that one coming.
lets play a game every time condit says you know you take a shot... your ether going to black out or be at the e.r after that interview lol
How many times can an individual say "You Know" in a single interview? I stopped counting at like 65, "you know"?
Dear Mr Condit, GSP will take the fight wherever he wants. You will not be able to dictate that. You are a good fighter but GSP is just a bit better. Good Luck.
