UFC President Dana White has officially confirmed tha the much anticipated bout between Cain Valasquez and Brock Lesnar will take place at UFC 121, expected to take place on October 23rd, expected to be held in Anaheim, California.

Many had hoped to see Brock and Cain fight as early as UFC 119, due to be held in Indianapolis at the end Spetemebr, but fans will have to wait just and extra month. A rumoured bout between the winner of Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen against Vitor Belfort is also a possibillity, depending on the outcome of UFC 117. Sam Stout is also expected to face Paul Taylor on the card.

Originally, the UFC 121 was expected to take place in Germany, but the German goverment have banned the UFC from being broadcast on German tv, and they have also banned advertising of the event. UFC 99 was held in Germany, but the goverment also prevented minors from attending the event.

Cain Valasquez earned his shot at the belt in his 1st round demolition of Minitauro Nogueira back in Febuary at UFC 110.He was last seen sitting ringside at UFC 116: Lesnar vs Carwin, no doubt eager to find out which of the two Heavyweight powerhouses he would face next. Currently 8-0 in his MMA career, 7 of his fights have ended by knockout or TKO.

Lesnar is fresh off a comeback win over Shane Carwin in a title unification bout at 116. With Valasquez's wrestling credentials, Cain could prove to be Lesnar's biggest challenge to date.

So that'll be an 8-month layoff for Cain

I bet he thinks it's worth it though. I wonder what kind of trash Brock will talk this time.

He is humble now, I don't think he will be trash talking....

Unless he is fighting Mir again

When did he ever talk trash? When Mir was handed that first win, he congratulated him and was gracious. Mir deserved to have it rubbed in his face. The moron goes on TV saying that hopes for MMA fighters to die. H'es a buffoon.

That wasn't trash talk. It was truth. He said he was more athletic than Carwin and had better wrestling. The fight proved him right. All Carwin had was his hand's power... Brock dominated in the cardio and the ground game.

Not even close. You have to learn the difference between a critique and an insult.

I have no idea who's gonna win or how, will Brock overpower Cain with some GnP ? or will Cains ability to land good combo's standing or on the ground win him the fight ? Will Cain have enough power to finish Brock ? Has Brock got good enough stand up to knock Cain out ? Can't wait for this one wish i could be there

Actually no , I haven't...but if I had said it I would only be proven 1/2 wrong. Carwin did fill up all the necessary custom documents for Lesnar's shipping and also sealed the envelope by GNP...but in the last minute he ran out of stamps...the idiot :-(

Lol, he is not even near breaching the line that Fedor fans cross on a daily basis.... So imagine Ston3pony multiplied by 167x and that is what Fedorites are like.

Not trying to be rude but that is a rather weak comment and you keep recycling it over and over again through various posts.

How on earth can you compare Fedor fans with Lesnar's ones.

Fedor fans belong to the hard-core fans of MMA (not just UFC). We worship a true legend of the sport, a humble man, an example for other fighters in general... and we have every right to be ****ing proud about it.

Lesnar fans are the exact opposite and you know it..unless your are one them which I believe that you aren't.

I think Cain uses his wrestling and foot work to keep it standing and picks Lesner apart from the outside. Cain by TKO in the 3rd or 4th. I'm going to have a lot of negative replies to this but the fact is that despite his hype and pedigree Lesner has shown himself to have problems with wrestlers. He caught Randy and Carwin blew his engine but he was losing both of those fights. Third time is a charm and Cain adds unbelievable athleticism to his wrestling.

Lesnar will be out classed on the feet and will aim to take this to the mat. Eventually he will get Cain on his back, and when that happens it's night night Cain.
