Shane or Cain would both be incredible to see against Lesnar. I'm not as excited to see Francis lie on his back and quit again.

id like to see cain vs. dos santos, santos is gonna beat gonzaga and it would just be a great match up to see cain and junior fight seeing that they are both similarily skilled

Agreed. Cain would have a much better chance against Frank IMO. I don't see what they can do against Mongo the circus gorilla Lesnar though. People need to keep in mind that Lesnar was basically a clean slate when he took the belt. When he smashed the experienced veterans that he did, he was just winging it and coasting on his athleticism and his wrestling. Look how much Coscheck has improved though? What will Lesnar be like when he knows more than just wrestling?

He will dominate his division like the other champions dominate their own respective divisions. He's just too much of a freak of nature, people that size are not supposed to be able to move like that. He runs the 40 almost as fast as Justin Gatlin, and his vertical is only a little less than Michael Jordan's. People like to hate him, but if they were objective they would respect the freakish ability there.

He may never lose another fight.

I dont like Brock, but I do respect his ability like you said and he is an athletic "freak of nature" , and I was with you your whole post until you said

"He may never lose another fight."

I highly doubt that is true... actually Im 100% sure that isnt true

That's cool, I can respect your opinion because it's honest. Whereas the usual obsessed Pride fans just spew nonsense. It's easier to disagree with someone who has integrity (though, they usually don't try anyway, they just click weak in lieu of proving that they have nothing worth saying to offer).

IMO Lesnar had too much Retard-Wrestling experience, where he learned how to get ahead by being obnoxious. But I think he learned that he's in a real sport now and I expect that he'll behave accordingly (I don't remember seeing any disrespect shown toward Heath or Randy). He said that he respected Randy, and that Randy was too old to fight him. And he was right, it's the truth, it's not an insult. I also think everyone should have gained respect for Heath for not quitting. He took a beating 20 times worse than what George made BJ quit with. That guy is made of iron. Frank went to sleep with a pulp-face from a few little 3 inch punches, I'm betting Heath was pissing blood and in bed for a month (and, Heath is one of the biggest guys in MMA).

I don't know though... People don't realize how good Lesnar's chin is. If you go back and watch the fights, he's been tagged several times, clean on the temple and the chin with fists and knees and standing elbows from Randy and Frank, and people don't notice because Lesnar never reacts more than the flinch to try and duck them.

He barely clipped Randy and it put him down. Have you ever seen anyone Heath's size (in any division really) go summersaulting across the octagon like Heath did from that right hand? Maybe It's happened... I can't think of one though?

He's just got too many tools. And dedicated athletes like wrestlers at his level are just simply sponges for absorbing technique. Also something people underestimate in wrestling is the balance and core strength it gives you. Which will translate in to an advantage in any other discipline he tries to adopt.

In his previous fights he was still a fresh rookie, with just his wrestling, true? Isn't it reasonable to say that he has miles of improvement ahead of him? He throws a mean leg-kick already. Judging by the destruction he already has wrought, I think it's scary to think what he'll be doing when he's a rounded fighter. I don't think Frank has a prayer. Cain or Shane maybe, but they have to do it standing, which is easier said than done. Dos Santos would knock him out, if he chose to stand with him, but why would he? He's a BJJ fighter, he'll be dropped on his head and controlled.

Duffee maybe?... That guy is going to be a force. But, I expected they're all competing for 2nd place.

If they did that it would add quite a bit more time to Brock's layoff. The UFC wants Lesnar back on PPV as soon as possible.

"they should have cain fight the winner of mir and carwin then the winner of that fight lesnar cain i think could take lesnar "

    ...

Not only do they want Brock back fighting ASAP, that would just elimiate more guys from being ready for a title shot.

Lets say the winner of Mir vs Carwin fights Brock and loses, Cain is pretty much lined up and ready for a title shot....

but if they had Cain fight winner of Mir vs. Carwin (and lets say Brock beat the winner of that match) who would get the next shot at Brock?

Whoever they would pick wouldnt be as deserving as Cain is right now

i dont wanna wait that long! lol personally, I wanna see all three of them fight lesnar, I think they'd all be cool match ups. That being said tho, Mir has mad revenged in his eyes for Brock, and I kinda wanna see where that would take a Mir vs Lesnar 3 match up

I definitly see your point, but you have to remember

    A. Carwin has beat every1 he has faced in his careere in 2:11 or less, so its not his fault he hasnt faced better oponents

    and more importantly,

    B. Carwin was promised a title shot at Brock before Cain beat Kongo, Rothwell, or Nogueira when Cain was still 5-0 and Carwin was 11-0

So Dana cant put Carwin behind Cain because its not Carwin's fault Brock hasnt been ready for him

love cain but i think he needs to put on some size or else brock is just gonna beat him the same way he beat mir. he's got the wrestling and striking, now he just needs to get big.

i don't think his beating of Big Nog shows that cain has gotten that much better at striking rather than it showed how the realevence of Big Nog has deminished.

Here is how it a gonna.

Mir V. Carwin- Winner Carwin 1st round KO

Carwin V. Lesnar- Winner Carwin 2nd Round Ko

Then we get to see Carwin Vs. Cain. That would be a damn good fight. Two good wrestlers who both are great on their feet.

Carwin is big and strong with great wrestling... But I don't know. Gonzaga was dominating him until he landed that one punch.

I dont know if you can really say he was dominating... He was definitly beating Shane on points, but the fight only lasted 1:09!!!!

In that minuet and 9 seconds Carwin landed 4-5 small shots to the head

Gonzaga landed 2 medium shots to the head, took Carwin down and landed another 2 small punches

Carwin got up pretty easily then BOOM knokced Gabe the **** out

I dont care what level or organization, just because you got taken down in the first minuet of the fight does not mean you are going to lose or are getting dominated

Watch the fight over again, and you will see what I mean.

Plus that was only Carwin's 3rd UFC fight and it was still in the first minuet of that fight, he still hadnt gotten over the jitters or awe that UFC fighters first go through when locked into the cage

Before that fight Carwin was only in an Octogon for 2mins and 15 seconds, so yea he is pretty inexperienced and IMO he still was getting the jitters out.

    Forgot to mention:

Gonzaga has a Black Belt in BJJ and in the words of Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg during the fight :

"Gonzaga has a heavy ground game"

"He passes to the mount more often that any other position"

"He is a world Champion Black Belt, very solid BJJ game, especially on top"

"One of the most effective guard passers in UFC histroy"

So if Carwin could get up off the groud that easy against Gonzaga, if Brock did take him down maybe he could get up

(although Brock does have MUCH more size and weight than Gonzaga)

    but its just a thought

I mostly agree... But, there's no comparison between a wrestler's ability to dictate standing or ground, versus a BJJ artist's. Wrestling is 100% about balance and body control, BJJ is only partially, it's more about submissions. If Lesnar got him down, the fight would stay down. He's too agile, too fast, too big. Shane is big and strong too, but he doesn't have that pure athletic speed that Lesnar has.

I think he'll have a better chance against Lesnar than even Cain would. But, if you side by side compare their tools, their skillset, I don't see a category where Shane has an advantage (including punching power and hand-speed).

Also, Carwin did have 8 MMA fights before joining the UFC. Brock only had that one little exhibition against the asian guy who got scared and tapped for no reason a few seconds in to the fight. Gonzaga is the only real competition that Shane has faced in the UFC. Shane will beat Frank, and that will be a good indicator of how we can expect him to compare against Lesnar. If he rips Frank's head off in the first round, I think he's got a chance against Lesnar. If it goes the distance? If it's a close fight? If he loses?... It will say a lot when we see how well he can hold Frank down. Which he will, he's not going to strike with Frank, Lesnar showed the world how a strong wrestler can manhandle Mir. He'll be able to hold him down, but will it be a domination as significant as what Lesnar did to him? It looked like a man fighting a child, he just held him down and pinned one arm back and toyed with him. Do you think Shane can do that? *shrug*

I'm a big Carwin fan FYI. I'm not bashing him.

fighting got nothing to do with sise any one can beat anybody if you have strong punching power and speed and balls, if you don't agree you never been to a fight

I have an idea: Since Brock is such a freak of nature an unbeatable. Lets give the title to someone else, and let Brock be the UFC "enforcer." His job is to fight all of the newbs like James Toney, Herschel Walker,Kimbo Slice etc. They should feed all of those type of guys to Lesnar, I think that would keep the B.S out of the UFC. Back to reality: Lesnar is another Mike Tyson: Seems unbeatable, but someone will K.O him, and I will make sure I have my money on the fight, because I know the odds will be huge. See when Mir beat Brock, Lesnar was able to view it as "luck" because he was beating Franks ass and got caught. Thats why Lesnar has to be Ko`d, once that happens he is done, Another Liston,Forman,Tyson...I just have to make sure I cash in at Alantic city!!
