Speaking on FOX Sports, UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez spoke about his upcoming first title defense against Junior Dos Santos, this weekend in Anaheim, California. Currently 9-0 in his Mixed Martial Arts career, Velasquez won his title from the big hands of Brock Lesnar, after impressively finishing the former WWE Superstar in Round 1 at UFC 121. Velasquez has 8 KO/TKO finishes out of 9 professional fights. The only man to take Cain Velasquez to decision was Paris, France representative Cheick Kongo.

I wholeheartedly Agree!! I'm a big fan of Cain, but I don't see him getting passed Junior.....JDS will hold this title for awhile.

I want to see Cain vs. Shane!!!

This kinda stuff is a bit tough to watch for me lol It's like when your favorite band suddenly blows up and other people jump on it. And these guys don't know anything about fighting. Ah well, growing pains I guess!

Also bummed at the conversation around 1:00 minute where they misunderstand and think that training 3 days a week (the week before the fight) is a HEAVY routine for them haha

He said "three-a-days," not three days.

    Ahh, I mis-heard.

That makes sense, as this was filmed a couple weeks ago, it seems.

I'd say there is 0% chance of Cain getting knocked out, I love JDS and think he is great but who in their right mind would call him a power puncher? Cain also have without a doubt in my mind the strongest will in mma.

Just ask Crocop, Gonzaga, Struve, Gilbert Yvel, Fabricio Werdum, etc. if JDS is a power puncher. To say any fighter has 0% chance of getting KO'd is grave miscalculation

I wouldn't say a lightweight. Howie's been out of the league for years now & he's still a huge guy. Same with Straham.

Cain is rather small for a heavyweight, but he is made of a denser mass (that's my own feeling). based on size alone, he is not intimidating at all. look at how big his head looks compared to shoulders. I do have Cain winning but what a fight!!

Both Strahan and Howie Long are 6-5 and played at around 260-270...so Cain not being around 6-1 and 240 is going to look small in comparison.

JDS has excellent power and wasnt able to finish Carwin because he was so technical with his jabs and avoided too many right hands - the way which all boxers are taught. KO or not JDS will out box(strike) cain no problem

Haha we'll see man. This is MMA, there's kicks and wrestling. So even if JDS can out BOX (not STRIKE, b/c JDS rarely kicks and Cain does) Cain, I have no doubt Cain will be able to put his ass on the mat.

Just based on skills, I would have to go with Cain in this fight. I think JDS has better boxing, and possibly better BJJ, but Cain has better kicks, mixes up his strikes more, and has an advantage in wrestling, which should allow him to dictate where the fight takes place.

However, JDS showed excellent TDD in his fight with Carwin, and even took Carwin down a couple times, so he is no slouch when it comes to wrestling either. Cain is a faster athlete, so JDS will not have the speed advantage he enjoyed over Carwin. Cain also wrestled at an even higher level than Carwin, so stopping Cain's takedowns will be an even harder task.

My biggest concern with picking Cain in this fight is the amount of time he took off. He has not fought now in over a year. Ring rust is not the only problem, because there were several months during which Cain state that he could not even run or ride a bike...so not only could he not maintain and sharpen his MMA skills during that time, he also could not maintain his cardio. There is no question that JDS was sharpening his skills and staying in great shape during that time.

I'm still picking Cain, but 0% chance of him getting KO'd? Come one man, this is MMA. Anything can happen, especially against a great striker like JDS.

I like both fighters and it is very hard to pick one. I would go for JDS as a winner.

JDS has a reach and size advantage. He can keep the distance with Cain just like he did with Carwin. JDS can go exchanging punches with Cain, he did not do that with Carwin knowing Carwin's punching power. Cain can heat hard, but not as hard as Carwin.

Even if Cain takes JDS down, it would be hard for him to keep JDS down and JDS has underrated BJJ, which he can use it.

Cardio can be a problem for JDS if it goes for 5 rounds.

Going with Cain but I think JDS' punching power & the fact that Cain's been out of action for a year will be too much & we'll have a new champ.

JDS has rocked or KO'd all of his opponents in the UFC; how can you question his punching power, lol.

Cain has show he can be rocked (by Kongo), the big question is will JDS be able to finish? if he does rock Cain.

We'll see on the 12th; personally it's 50/50 for me either Velasquez via Decision or JDS KO/TKO Round 2.

Depends on which Velasquez turns up really, the one who stood up only with Big Nog or the one who slammed Kongo's ass all over the octagon.

Win, Lose or Draw I can see these two fighting three times in the future. :D
