Brock Lesnar: Alistair Overeem is unfortunate to fight me in his UFC debut

Brock Lesnar sat down with Paul Heyman for an interview that focuses mainly on his appearance in the upcoming WWE 12 game.  However, Lesnar does have words for those that doubt that he will be successful in his UFC comeback attempt following the surgery he underwent due to his second bout with diverticulitis. The former UFC Heavyweight champion also shares his thoughts on his upcoming opponent, Alistair Overeem, who will be making his UFC debut on the December 30 UFC 141 fight card.

For two years I had to lie to myself and all of my fans. I had to get up every morning and say, ‘you feel good today,’ and I didn’t. I had the surgery, it’s out of my life and I’m back and that’s a damn good feeling for me and it’s bad for everybody else.

Welcome back buddy, nice to see you around to take away some of the hate that silva is getting.

Alot of people are going to cry if you beat overeem, and compared to diverticulitis, how tough could that fight really be?

Lights out you're forgetting that Brock is vastly superior wrestler than Overeem. Therefore your logic is partially flawed.

I Pity all the brock lesnar fans out there, cause this is definately his last fight in the ufc. He will quit and head for wwe the moment the fight is over. I am 200% sure of this why else would he be in a freaking wwe game.

overeem was visibly stunned after badrs headkick, he never in the slightest contested the referee's decision when he stopped the fight.

i wonder when this interview happened and if Brock will still have a size advantage come fight time? Looks smaller than before and yet people at Death Clutch claim Brock started training camp at 300lbs.

Weight doesn't matter that much. Just look at his last fight.

yeah but his size is his biggest attribute over his opponents. If you take Brock's skillset and put it in a body of a fighter in another division......he's a mediocre fighter.

    Yes Brock.

You went through many WWE 'legends' exactly as it was scripted. It is like Jet Li saying he went through UFC legends in a scripted movie.

I never understood the attraction of fake wrestling/fighting.

Brock is keeping his options open for the post-Overeem fight.

He should add some magic tricks to his interviews so it's at least a little bit entertaining. He's just a dorkish oaf at this point. All I see when he talks is a guy that doesn't like getting hit and cowers a lot.

If Brock hasn't improved his head movement or developed the ability to take a punch without folding up like a cheap tent, it's not going to be much of a fight.

Exactly! I remember Bas talking about how Brock should head over to Holland and let his guys punch him in the face... to get over being scared. If he can get over the fear.... the dude would very scary.... some more BJJ/Striking work and he would have a chance to get the belt back. But.... I don't see him getting past Alistair.

This fight is either going to be quick and brutal or long and boring depending on who imposes their will. If Overeem can keep it standing or create room on the ground for subs from his back and sweeps, he will finish Brock inside of one round. If Brock can take Overeem down and control him on the ground it will be three (or five?) rounds of "lay and pray" as some call it. My money is on Overeem.

    @Joey

He really hasn't been but he also hasn't been on top of someone with his size and strength. Mir was big in there second fight but I don't think he was nearly as strong as Overeem. Those were new muscles. I think there is a chance that Brock could take Overeem down and control him but he will have to fight much harder to do it and won't be able to inflict the damage he has on other fighters.

Overeem is going to stop this jabroni in under 2 mins. He can hype himself up all he wants, he has less fights than I have fingers. Overeems been around the world taking belts. The UFC belt is coming.

Oh and Cain absorbed your little "baddest dude on the planet" moniker, Brocky. You are just a guy who used his size and WWE selling power to get in the UFC. Others have had to work from the ground up.

Hey genius, that slang wasn't cool back in 96 when i was 14 and it sure as hell isn't cool now, so if you're gonna bash brock for being like the WWE make sure you don't sound like one of those jokers yourself.

Oh, and brocks belt was real unlike the many tomato can belts reem has.

Clearly your dumb ass missed the joke because you didn't just say that. And secondly, he took the belt from a 84 year old man who hasn't been that impressive as of late.

Alistair would of retired Randy that night and take his belt at the same time.

Can't help but laugh at this guy, I understand his profession is fighting, which is still debatable seeing as he looks set to return to WWE, but he really needs to improve his ability to actually form sentences that make sense. Frigging meathead

I've got Reem in this one but I can't think of any other figter who has had a harder first fight in the UFC (except against a champ) except maybe the Diaz Penn fight. Probably the biggest step up in competition from outside ZUFFA to UFC I've seen anyway.

It's a tough fight for Brock to return on. I'd like to see him win against Reem, but I don't see it working out that way.
