Next week, Brian Stann will step inside the Octagon in Stockholm, Sweden, looking to bounce back from defeat to Chael Sonnen at UFC at UFC 136. Stann will be facing the Italian heavy-hitter artist Alessio Sakara, who has 4 KO/TKO finishes in the UFC. Thirty-one year old Brian Stann also declared he wants a rematch with Chael Sonnen, hinting that the Oregonian will have a mountain to climb when he faces Anderson Silva at UFC 147, later this year.

Brian Stann is a beast but Chael man handled him. And yes Chael has a mountain to climb but who wouldnt against AS. The guy is only the best P4P fighter in the world. I also do not believe Stann vs Sonnen would be much different until Stann can handle his wrestling. Im not a Sonnen fan but the guy has awesome wrestling.

one of the reasons i like him is the fact that he said something as the difference between a win and a finish not sure where a win would put

him but a finish would put him right back on the road so you know he isnt there just to win.....he is a true solid fighter

Stann is good but unless Chael passes his prime, sticks around for too long and then rematches him, I don't think Stann will ever beat Sonnen.

Chael is simply one of the best wrestlers in MMA, Stann's weakness. I honestly wouldn't be that interested in a rematch between them unless Stann develops his grappling super fast.

I agree. I also think a re-match between Stann and Sonnen wouldn't be much different from their first encounter, it wasn't even that long ago and i'm sure Stann hasn't evolved eough in that small space of time. Stann was supposed to be a stellar wrestler going into their first fight but Chael made it look like he had never wrestled in his life!

Stann has every chance of defeating Sakara too as Sakara's wrestling isn't that great, even though he's improved it a lot Stann should still be the better wrestler by far. Then again he may just get caught by Sakara who i would say is definately the better striker, it's doubtful but stranger things have happened.

As far as a re-match with Chael though it isn't going to happen, not so soon after his one sided defeat, he may meet him again down the road who knows? I think it's a safe bet to say he'll beat Sakara in Sweden though.......

This should be a war! Sakara is a good fighter but gets shut down a lot of the time but he really impressed me in the fight against Weidman who is obviously a beast.

Stann looked great until the Sonnen fight, I think their boxing is not too far off each other, I'm just really eager for this fight.

I expect and hope they make it a stand up war!

Stann win this one easy but a rematch with Chael Sonnen would get the same result.

And u kno who else sucks the guy that's fighting him I think he's the most babied fighter in history of the ufc the give him fight that's he should easily win, guys with glass jaws, and with perfectly viewed blueprints... The only impressive win was against chirs leban and a.d tapped that shit win it was still hot. I just can't understand how he could sit there and talk and train as if he's in a real fight

i agreed dude they trying to promote him because honestly he the all-American and a former Marine, think about it. Sakara, legionaire tatoo all over his body but every fight i saw him in doesn't impress me at all. they keep talking that he is a professional boxer, but i don't see it in the ring.
