Brian Stann: Integrity, Discipline and Character are the keys to martial arts success
Posted on October 3, 2011, 10:25 PM by Trent ReinsmithBrian Stann has surged up the middleweight rankings since earning a first round technical knockout victory over Chris Leben at UFC 125. Stann, was only the second fighter to finish Leben by KO or TKO, the first was current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, back in 2006.
Stann then followed up the TKO win over Leben with a second round TKO over Jorge Santiago in May, earning himself a nice $70,000 “Fight of the Night” bonus.
The two stoppage victories over accomplished MMA veterans earned Stann a fight with top ranked contender Chael Sonnen at UFC 136, which will take place on October 8 from Houston’s Toyota Center.
MMA H.E.A.T caught up with Stann in the days leading up to his fight with Sonnen.

He offered this truthful perspective in the most eloquent way.... WOW!!!!!
what a matchup. guy everybody loves vs. "guy everybody loves to hate". Not an easy one to call either.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your next champion!
I know he is a war hero and some role model, but he still a bit too goody 2 shoes for me. I'm picking the evil guy in this fight. Chael ftw so I can finally see chael vs Silva again
Well spoken by Stann. The US shits on it's vets.
You have to respect what the man says. Every time Brian Stann does an interview i' m blown away by how he articulates his thoughts and perceptions into motivation. The guy is a role model for the sport in all the right ways and win lose or draw I hope at the end of his career Dana and the Fertitas give him a job in the corporate UFC world.
