Brian Stann: I want Wanderlei Silva, Michael Bisping or Vitor Belfort

However, our friends at Cage Potato bring a quote from Dana White about Wanderlei Silva's possible unwillingness to face the "All American":
"We were actually trying to hook [Silva] up with Brian Stann. He doesn't want to fight Brian Stann. He's like, 'F*ck that; everybody is going to hate me if I fight Brian Stann. Everybody loves Brian Stann.' But that's the fight we're trying to make right now."

dont think he would win against silva or belfort. and i dont like it when a fighter calls another fighter out after an injury!!! and i dont think that anybody would hate wanderlei for fighting stann! wanderlei is a legend and every real MMA fan loves this type of fighter

Wishful thinking from Stann! I say give him either Akiyama or Marquardt after their fight, regardless of who wins. Either match up would be good imo.
As far as I have heard, Wand is probably going to be available in the spring, and I think he wants to fight on the Toronto card, since he has so many fans there.
Wand was hoping for a Leben fight, since they match up well, but Stann kind of ruined that with his win. Stann is still pretty much a no-name, and he is the Apple Pie Warrior, so Wand is probably worried about the fall-out of any victory.
Wand should realize that MMA fans want the best fights--and if he fights in Toronto, it will be like a home town crowd for him.
BTW: I have gotten the impression that Wanderlei does not want to fight his old Chute Boxe training partner Anderson Silva. If that is the case, then Wand is only being a gatekeeper in the MW division, and therefore should fight whoever is actually aiming for a title fight.
Wand vs Stann in Brazil will help keep the haters at bay.

he's just trying to use good fighters as a stepping stone .stann would get ko'd by most of the top 10 MW ..wanderli is getting old and he's not the same just like cro cop. i can't see neither cro cop or wandy capturing a LHW title.
I don't fault Stann for asking for the fights he wants--why not? Leben was on a tear, and by defeating Leben, Stann is on the verge of top ten. How many UFC middleweights were above Leben in the rankings?
Notice that Stann is avoiding calling out wrestlers or BJJ aces. Stann wants fighters who will stand with him after being schooled by Phil Davis.
I think a lot of fighters are now coming to the conclusion that being quet and taking 'any fight the UFC wants to give them' is not the way to go. Quiet Jim Miller was forgotten by the UFC brass, until he spoke up.
Stann asks for his fights very respectfully, so I don't see why it is a crime to ask. It doesn't mean you will get what you want, but if you don't ask, you might never be considered.

Some people may not like Bisping. Bisping may not be the best in the world either, but he is damn good fighter like it or not. Look at his last fight if you think otherwise.
