Aussie native Brian Ebersole outworked veteran Chris Lytle en-route to scoring a Unanimous decision victory in his UFC debut.

In a hard fought match-up, both Lytle and Ebersole went back and fourth exchanging and showing great grappling ability.  The major change in momentum came in the second round, when Ebersole landed a big knee that dropped Lytle, leaving him slouched against the cage.  From that point, "Lights Out" never seemed to fully recover as the Aussie continuously neutralized Lytle's striking by closing the distance and dragging the fight to the ground.  Much of the remainder was contested on the mat, where Ebersole was able to maintain positional dominance en-route to a unanimous decision win.

I don't think anybody realistically expected it too play out like this. The only people who voted for Ebersole were hoping to rake in the points..... well Merry Christmas to yall who voted for him

I consider Lytle to be a bum on his way out thats why I chose Ebersole. I also came in 5th overall for the picks on 127. Just so you know it is not a fluke I was 12th on UFC 126.

I was there to see it at Sydney (just got back home just then)

When Ebersole came out (arrow shaved in his chest hair and all) and did that "capoera" kick at the start i was like "What the...?"

Then i was at aww at his ground skills and when he nearly KO'd Lytle wit the knee.

When he did that 2nd "capoera" kick in the 3rd round, i just lost it and burst out laughing, had tears in my eyes.

You can say the package Ebersole brought together was very entertaining, i guess Condit being injured wasnt a bad thing afterall

Ebersole needs a 3 fight contract. He will put fans in seats, Real entertaining to watch. One of those fighters that doesnt look like how he fights. Real unpridicatable

guys chris didnt take dis fight serious, he had no game plan, wasnt in shape compared to previous fights, he was gased after first round, was very disappointed for chris to come to a fight with no game plan and show up with that cardio

It may have seemed Lytle had no gameplan, he probably didnt have much time or resources (like footage) to study Ebersole for a gameplan. Also Ebersole was highly unorthodox and unpredictable.

About Lytle seemingly being 'gassed', he was KO'd for a second with that knee, that had a big effect on Lytle for the rest of the fight.
