A Bantamweight fight between former division champ Brian Bowles and perennial contender Takeya Mizugaki has been added to the UFC 132 line-up.

The UFC announced the match-up on Monday.

After losing the title to current Champion Dominick Cruz at WEC 47, Bowles (9-1) spent nearly a year sidelined due to nagging injuries before returning at last month's UFC on Versus 3 event, where he submitted Damacio Page via guillotine choke at 3:30 of the first-round. The win marked Bowles' promotional debut and replicated the outcome of  his previous outing against Page at WEC 35, which he also won via guillotine choke at 3:30 of the opening round.

Mizugaki (14-5-2), meanwhile, will look to continue building momentum after picking up a close split decision victory over Reuben Duran in his octagon debut.  The Japanese fighter has alternated wins and losses over his last six, including a 2-3 stint in the WEC.

UFC 132 is set to take place July 2nd from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.  A Bantamweight title clash between division Champion Dominick Cruz and challenger Urijah Faber will serve as the main event, making it the promotion's first ever fight card to be headlined by two former WEC competitors.
