Following UFC on Versus 6, UFC President Dana White said that the promotion was interested in possibly bring Fabricio Werdum back into the UFC.  That card took place on October 1, since then there has not been a great deal of talk on the subject. However, if  Werdum does sign with the UFC it looks like the promotion has a fighter more than willing to meet him in the Octagon.

Yesterday Werdum tweeted, “Brendan Schaub, I’m ready for you. Anytime, anywhere.”

Today, Schaub responded to Werdum, "I definitely think it's feasible. The only relevant fight left in Strikeforce as far as the heavyweights go is [Daniel] Cormier and [Josh] Barnett. The rest of them, it seems like they are coming over. I have no idea what kind of situation Werdum's in with the UFC, but maybe this will kind of speed things up and they can make that happen." – for more see MMAFighting.com

What do you think LowKick’ers, should the UFC get the contracts ready for a Werdum versus Schaub bout?

Good match-up...Classical striker vs grappler. Plus, both are coming off of a loss...I just hope Werdum won't resort to his lay-and-pray strategy as this would produce a boring show..................

Werdum is not a bad striker. He does not have a good knock out punch, but he can do some damages before going to the ground, where Schaub has not chance.

Werdum needs to fight Mir, Carwin, Big Nog or looser of JDS and Cain, he needs to fight top 10 to stay relevant. Schaub will be a step back for him. Mir will be a good match up for him, since both of them are BJJ specialists. Carwin would be too powerful for Werdum with killer punches, it would be too dangerous to have Carwin on top of you.

Good for Brandon. I like the kids attitude, but all the hype is so premature as Werdum himself said he wasnt talking to either Belator or the UFC, and if he was couldn't discuss it.

Lets sign a contract before you start picking or calling out your opponents. I also don't think Brendan isa pushover by any means. He has the ability to beat Werdum as long as he doesnt spend much time on the ground with him. Be careful what you wish for sometimes, you just might get it!

steven306 Hello you dumb Morons....for those who want to see Werdum in the UFC, just look at his fight with JDS where he gets Knocked the F^^^ out!!! lmao. do you really want to see a dumb fighter like this who likes to fight off his back??? lol, get real. He cant/wont beat anyone in the UFC again...I lost all respect for this clown after the Overeem fight, all he did was lay on his back waiting to be F*****D in the A$$ by Overeem. I dont care if he knew he was going to get knocked out, if he wanted to show his fans and his ability to fight top tier competition, then he should not be trying to sleep in the middle of the match. He should've stood and faught like a man, instead like a Beatch on the floor. lol. So for the fools who want him back in the UFC, go back to BJJ wrestling matches were he's actually good b/c everyone else is on their backs already. lol now suck my nipples. lol

Suck your Nipples? who is it thats waiting to get F****D inthe A$$?

I agree he was dissapointing against overeem but watch the fight again, I truly think he was winning the exchanges on his feet with much crisper punches. He just chose to be foolish, everyone else but him knew Overeem wouldnt go to the ground!

I don't think this is a good fight for Schaub at all. Fab is much more dominate on the ground than Schaub is on his feet.
