Brendan Schaub dominates Gabriel Gonzaga in a clean 30-27 Unanimous Decision victory
Posted on October 23, 2010, 09:45 PM by Anton GurevichUltimate Fighter 10 contestant Brendan “The Hybrid” Schaub continued his run in the UFC, this time defeating the former Heavyweight title challenger Gabriel Gonzaga. Schaub kept the fight in his comfort zone, the stand-up, punishing “Napao” with precise jabs and striking combinations.
Brendan Schaub managed to rock Gonzaga late in the first round, as the Brazilian was saved by the bell from another TKO loss. Second and Third rounds of the fight were pretty much the same, with Schaub stalking Gonzaga, who failed to find his pace during the fight. In addition to striking disadvantage, Gonzaga failed to utilize his World-Class BJJ skills during a fight, as Brendan Schaub managed to defend two of the Brazilian’s takedown attempts.
In the end, it was a clean and deserved 30-27 decision for Schaub, who moves up in the ladder of the UFC Heavyweight division. Facing the winner of Carwin-Nelson fight, could be a good option for Schaub, as well as the fight against the former Champ Frank Mir.

Shaub is pretty good, but he had multiple opportunitys to finish the fight but he didnt take it though....
Gonzaga should took him down
Dotn like Brandon, he has 1 fight out of TUF and he thinks he deserves to fight cain and carwin brock and jds. But when he gets a old fallin star in gonzaga he cant finish the fight. Many many chances to finish it but he either didnt recognize it or didnt want to get caught. Dont like him but still got repsect for the fighter, good fight.
i was impressed with Schaub. I didn't think he could stand with Gonzaga after Nelson knocked him out.
He said he'd like to fight Mir. That would be a good test for him , and a good fight to watch.
