Former Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion and PRIDE legend Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira shared his thouoghts about Junior dos Santos' performance against Cain Velasquez in the main event of UFC's debut on FOX. Nogueira revealed dos Santos was on crutches just 10 days before fighting Velasquez, due to a torn meniscus in his knee. Dos Santos himself confirmed the injury during the post-fight press conference, also adding that he was "scared" to go 5 rounds with Cain Velasquez while not being 100% ready for the fight.

The identity of Junior dos Santos' next opponent will be decided on December 30th, when Brock Lesnar returns to the Octagon against "The Demolition Man" Alistair Overeem in the main event of UFC 141 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I can still remember cain ko nog in the firstround and this time its jds knockingout cain in the first, i cant see anyone giving jds a fight, Watching overeem's last outing with verdum he is gonna get ko. Jds is on a whole another level in striking. Lesnar if he get past overeem that wouldbe crazy, and this would be another story but we all saw what cain did to lesnar. Jds 100% s unstoppable.period.

Here we go again with someone hyping the new champion. So this is now the JDS era? Just like when people said Cain is unstoppable after he beat Brock? And when they said Machida era as well?

to quick to make those conclusion i still think that in a fight Cain vsJDS would be flipping a coin 50/50

and Overeem is a world class striker , and JDS is not Werdum on the ground or at least we havent seen him at all on the ground

Hats off to jds. It looked like cain had a good gameplan with those leg kicks but he should have put more pressure on him. O well hell be back

its not that his hands are heavy, he is extremely agile for som1 6ft3 with great hand speed. its almost as if his boxing style is modeled around middle weight fighters - which big kent goes in for overhand rights lol, thats usually used by shorter guys

I like Junior a lot and I think he deserves credit for fighting hurt, but this sounds like a fellow Brazilian over hyping a teammate.

I did some quick research, and the only way Dos Santos could have fought was if there was a small tear in the meniscus. If if the whole thing was torn, he couldn't walk let alone fight.
