Ben Rothwell: Don't call it a Comeback
Posted on July 18, 2011, 08:21 AM by Anton Gurevich"I've really worked hard on myself. It's not a comeback. It's an unveiling. I have been off for more than a year, and instead of using it as a layoff I've used it as a huge building block. I posted a few pictures, and people said, 'Whoa, this guy ain't the same.' When I came back to Duke, he said, 'People who are off because of an injury usually gain 20 lbs. You look like you've lost 20 lbs.' ... A lot of these guys, especially champions, I see how they act, and it enrages me. It's not right. It's not fair. I fight for the fans because without them, I wouldn't be able to do this. A lot of guys talk the talk, but people know when they meet me, I smile in my pictures. I love giving autographs because I am very thankful for everyone that's made the sport possible. That motivating factor has made me who I am now, and it's time to go out and take what's mine." - Yahoo! CageWriter (via MMAMania.com)
Former IFL Heavyweight Champion Ben Rothwell was last seen winning a unanimous decision over Gilbert Yvel at UFC 115. Rothwell tore his ACL in the fight against Yvel, and was forced to sidelines for over a year. On September 24th at UFC 135, Rothwell will face the PRIDE veteran Mark Hunt with sights on reviving his Mixed Martial Arts career. The fight against Hunt will be Rothwell's third under the UFC banner, as "Big Ben" holds an impressive professional MMA record of 31-7.
UFC 135 will be headlined by the UFC Light Heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones (Champion) and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson.

Rothwell did not lose a decision to Yvel at 115.

You do realize that it is possible to make corrections to the articles, and that is what happened thanks to the axe...
I thought that could of happened. Well if thats true, my bad. The poster' of this article should be saying thank you to @Axe on here so we know who to credit. Its okay to make a mistake. Otherwise the poor dudes get weaked.
Yes. Thanks! :)
I commend you sir!
Don't worry about it.
Should have been more clear when I posted.
Rothwell won a unanimous Decision against Yvel, hes only defeat in the UFC was against the Champion Cain...
i wanna watch the replay
Cain molested him too..
Rothwell has good wrestling, nasty ground and pound and solid submission skills. As long as he can get the fight to the ground, he should be able to get the stoppage. He also has a great chin, but Hunt can KO anybody.
damm soo thats what happened huh... i always wonder where he went, Rothwell was a beast in IFL
