Ben Henderson says until Dana White confirms, fight with Clay Guida isn't for a Title Shot

Henderson says despite popular rumors as of late, he's unsure if a win over Guida will earn him a title shot, and insists that until Dana White says so, he's not going to believe it. "I have no idea (if it's a number-one contender match) to be honest man, I'm not sure. I know the popular rumor going around is that this fight is for the number-one contendership, and all that stuff. But, unless I personally hear Dana White say it or read in an interview, hear or see myself Dana White saying that this is for the number-one contendership, or this is for the title shot, if I don't hear him say it, then I don't believe it. As far as where it puts me, who knows. It's not really up for me to say."

That is one of the dumbest posts in the history of lowkick and there's plenty to choose from. the LW division is MEGA stacked, in case you hadn't noticed.
i dunno.. maynard pettis guillard siver miller are all recently knocked down a peg or two, dunhams only just pulled himself back from his 2 losses, this makes sense, and to have cerrone fight in the next contender bout
The division may be stacked BUT melvin jus lost, ben beat miller, siver jus lost, pettis only won one fight, maynard has at least 2 fights to win, j-lou has like 2 fights to win, the only other is cerrone vs diaz. his post wasnt as dumb as yours :)

I'll admit, I did over look Cerrone. But Guida knocked off #1 contender in Pettis. Ben did a similar thing in defeating Miller.

Lauson, Melendez, Cerrone, Guida, Henderson to name a few. any top 10 LW a few years ago would have been a worthy title contender, such is the depth and talent in the division now. To ask who else is there really is the dumbest comment in a long time on this site. I don't give a shite what you fools think, ya'll are wrong on this. there's many options for who's next for a crack at the belt. Ya'll live in cloud ****ing cuckoo land if you think different.
Melendez is for strikeforce for now unless otherwise stated by Dana. Lauson maybe but he lost to sots only 2 fights ago so really there is only 3 real contenders in Cerrone, Bendo and Guida at a level appropriate. The other fighters which stack the division right now are contending for contendership. The skill level is high in this weight class but some stand that much further in ability. If they are just to name a few then name some others that haven't recently lost or have faced someone of the caliber of these 3 mentioned recently.
I am not saying that Guida/Hendo don't warrant a shot btw, they both quality, but to suggest there are no other options is stupid, very, very stupid.
Well you could say any of them are options but not many can be compared.
