Ben Henderson rumored to rematch Frankie Edgar at UFC 150 in Denver

According to a report from mmajunkie.com, Ben Henderson will defend his Lightweight title this summer, reportedly August 11 in Denver, Colorado. The match has not been officially announced as of yet. As the likely headliner of UFC 150, the fight will be a rematch of the close decision where Henderson gained the belt at February's UFC 144.
Benson Henderson has been on a tear through the UFC's Lightweight division since his arrival. The winner of four straight, he sits atop a stacked division of challengers all looking for the next crack at the belt. Cutting a good amount of weight to make the 155 lb. Limit, it appeared Henderson was too big and strong for Edgar. Possessing excellent wrestling, endless cardio, and power striking, Henderson is looking to be champion for years to come.
Frankie Edgar, while dethroned, is still near the top of all Lightweights in the world. His endless moving and excellent mix of boxing and wrestling makes him a tough task for anyone at 155 lbs. Although many called for him to move down a weight class to 145 lbs., Frankie Edgar stayed put and was granted the rematch he was looking for. Having granted two immediate rematches himself after fighting both B.J. Penn and Gray Maynard, UFC President Dana White felt that this was the right choice for the iron-willed Edgar.
The stage appears close to being set for another epic rematch this summer, as the UFC continues to put together blockbuster matches. The logjam that is the UFC Lightweight division will not be close to cleared until this rivalry is decided once and for all. Can Edgar overcome the beast Henderson has become to regain his coveted title? Or will Henderson remain at the top for quite some time?

Anyone sick to death of rematches besides me? **** this fight. There are tons of other guys ready and talented enough to challenge Henderson.
No
To be fair though most of them are tied up.
I'm with Hunter. Fights are made to answer questions and this question is not convincingly answered.
Dana has what we call a "guilty conscience," cause he gave BJ Penn a rematch, the Maynard rematch made sense; however, what doesn't is having a rematch here especially when you saw the fight, a man that comes out bloodied and bruised, like Edgar, is a warrior it's just when you compare him to Henderson, who looked like he was ready for a cover shoot and didn't have a single scrape anywhere, then you got to wonder why this is happening, I want this division to move, people going up and down in rankings makes it interesting and I hope this will settle everything
Just because one guy is bloodied and the other isn't doesn't tell the story of the fight.
Chael was busted up while Silva looked like he had just got up from a nap, even though Silva won the damage didn't tell the story of the fight.
Some guys bruise and cut up easier than others, fact.
Damage isn't a part of the judging criteria so I don't have to wonder why the rematch is taking place as that shouldn't have affected the outcome.
that because chael throws pillows and anderson throws daggers. silva could eat those all day and chael will never finish him.
So why then did Silva get knocked down? Does he have a balance disorder?
He was pulling guard.
I weaked this because you just wrote a 112 word sentence
Can't be any longer than all the meandering and back and forth for the lightweight title, can it?
Edgar has a habit of adjusting well for rematches. I expect a close fight again but this time Edgar regaining the belt.
If it is a close decision--does Bendo deserve a rematch?
Ben Henderson has a history of stopping people he decision wins against in the rematch.
I believe Edgar deserved the rematch. However, I believe Hendorson is just too big and strong. Yes, Edgar finished Gray Maynard who at that moment lacked finishing skills. Yes, Edgar has "Iron will", but that "will" will not work for him everytime. In my opinion Hendorson will dominate Edgar in more convincing way in the rematch. Then, Edgar will find himself in featherweight division.
I don't see why people keep saying Bendo is too strong?
I watched the fight twice and I remember Frankie throwing and taking down Bendo a lot more than Bendo did to him.
Yes Bendo probably hits harder but Frankie dropped him at one point and if he can't finish Frankie the striking strength doesn't matter a whole bunch.
I for one am super excited for this, amazing match-up and hopefully might be even better than the first one. I don't see how you couldn't look forward to this after the first fight.
I thought their fight was probbaly the closest 5 rounder I've ever seen and I had Frankie winning it myself 3-2 but I'm no judge and now we're here talking about a rematch.... IMO that's a good thing.

The first fight was great, thats why its getting a deserved rematch.
Just try not to walk in to a devastating upkick this time Frankie
Just cause a fight is great dont mean Edgar deserves the rematch... I hate it when people make excuses for fighter.. u ****ing win or u ****ing loose.. Period! If it's a draw.. go ahead and rematch but shit.. that was not a CLOSE fight.. just because Edgar is a survivor and can take some punishment. He got BEAT UP! Bad.... !!
I agree it may have been close on points but in damage it sways way over to Benson. It's not even if they hit each other the same amount of times and one comes out in need of a hospital and the other in need of another opponent.
the third rematch in LW division...
zzzzzzzzzz...
give somebody else the chance!
Fightmetric causes many fans to believe punch-counters.
MMA judges are supposed to judge effective striking, not just number of strikes. One punch from Anderson Silva is worth 20 Chael Sonnen pillow punches. While it is true that some people cut easier than others--Edgar was a fokkin mess after that fight.
Bendo easily had more effective strikes and more total strikes overall.
Bendo clearly won, and Edgar does not deserve a rematch.
I used to respect Edgar a lot--even though he only won by decisions. But after his whiny--I thought I did enough to win statement after the fight, and his hard lobbying for a rematch--I see him as a sore loser.
