"Absolutely I’ll stand-up. He claims to have great experience, but I haven’t seen him fighting the best boxers of the world. I’ve had the chance to do it at Pan (bronze medal), South American, amateur Brazilian titles… I believe I’m much more experienced than him." - For more from Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, visit Tatame.com

Lil' Nog isn't impressed by Alexander Gustafsson's stand-up.

In fact, despite being among the most skilled BJJ black-belts in MMA, the 2007 Pan American bronze medalist says he has no concerns about standing with the Swede when the two go head to head at UFC on Fuel TV 2.

Currently riding a four-fight winning streak, each of Gustaffson's octagon victories have come inside the distance, including back-to-back knockout wins in his last two outings. However, according to Nogueira, until "The Mauler" has squared off with some of boxing's best, he won't have the experience neccassary to better the Brazilian on his feet. But, what do you think LowKick'ers? Will wisdom empower "Minotoro" past his less experienced opponent, or will Gustafsson prove too much for Nogueira when he travels home to Stockholm, Sweden?

I think lil Nog is becoming delusional. He was a great fighter in his time but since signing with the UFC he has not had much success. Todays fighters are to much. More athletic, bigger, stronger. Atheletes are coming to MMA instead of football and other sports. This is why some of the older guys are having problems with the modern day MMa fighters.

Or it's because like you said THEY ARE OLDER. Nog was much more athletic back in the day. Jst look at how differently shogun and wanderlai fight compared to back in pride. You are a lick arse. Shut up

Alexander Gustafsson is going to beat Nog in every aspect of this fight. Total domination.

I think lil nog was simply making the point that he is used to fighting high level strikers so isnt concerned with gustafssons KO ratio. Nog has only ever lost 1 fight via KO/TKO and that was a 23 second loss to Sokoudjou where he got caught.

He didnt get stopped fighting the likes of overeem, shogun, hendo or luiz cane so you can understand him not being afraid of the standup of a guy who's most notable vistory is matyushenko who nog has also disposed of via KO.

Gustafsson is an emerging star and in my eyes we're all winners if nog comes out prepared to stand with him because it makes for a great fight.

If he was quoted saying i'm terrified of of this young guys hands so i'm going to shoot for a takedown before I get KO'd he'd wouldnt be the brazillian pride vet that we all pay to see step into the octagon.

This could go either way for me.
