Antonio Rogerio "Minotouro" Nogueira stated in his latest interview to the Brazilian website TATAME.com that he is ready for every challenge that may come from Ultimate Fighting Championship, even if it is another "easy" opponent:

“They only put easy opponents to face me (laughs). In my last two fights I faced a really tough guy, Luiz Cane, but it’s the way it is. I am ready for every challenge. I have a lot of experience, my training is better… I had great opportunities in my life that I did not take, but this time I won’t lose them. I’ll accept any fight; I won’t waste an opportunity to become a Champion."

Rogerio Nogueira, who is also known as "Little Nog", is currently 18-3 in his Mixed Martial Arts career, with notable victories over Alistair Overeem, Kazushi Sakuraba and Dan Henderson. "Minotouro" will face the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin at UFC 114, on May 29th.

He's just being sarcastic by saying forrest and cane are easy opponents but i think lil nog can easily handle forrest, even forrest himself said this is a bad match up for him, nog's got better boxing and bjj, only thing griffin has is size over nog

i never liked forrest as a fighter, he is overated and only because he is charming and witty is the reason he has fans, he can only take a beating and win decisions. please forrest retire. after you ran out of the octogon i knew you where done

Did anyone see the WEC Sat when they pointed out Forest on the Camera, and the anouncer said theirs UFC legend Forest Griffen. I laughed for a good min, it must of pissed Bonner off when he said that.

if he thinks it is easy, he is going to be head first on the floor just like his brother.

Well Forrest isn't very technical and he hasn't been really known to KO people out...maybe with a few punches but idk if that would work against Nog

well the irony is slightly lost because no one really thinks that Griffin is going to have a real chance against Lil Nog. Lil Nog isn't his brother, he hasn't really been in the type of get beaten within a inch of defeat and turn it around out of no where type matches. Lil Nog has better hands than his brother and equal BJJ. Griffin is going to get out classed badly with a first round defeat in favor of Lil Nog.

forrest is an easy fight, when ever someone come backs from retirement or a loss they fight forrest to make their come backs.. I have respect for forrest, but come on.. he is an easy fight just like other fighters like jardine, leben etc..

I was giving lil nog the benefit of the doubt. But if he goes in with the mindset that Forrest is an easy opponent. Then he is gonna get KOed..

Nogueira training partner, Anderson Silva, might have something to do with the way Lil Nog is thinking of Forrest.

ya, cant underestimate Forrest. Little Nog aint Anderson Silva, and unlike luiz cane Forrest is quite good on the ground and is a lot bigger than little Nog.. If Nog goes in their underestimating him he could definitely loose.

Lil Nog is way stronger then Griffin has all around better skills than griffin also. Lil Nog isn't Rampage he isn't going to go into the fight thinking that he doesn't need to be prepared for war. in the Anderson Silva v Griffin fight you could tell that Silva didn't really think Griffin was a threat but you could also see that he had trained for a serious fight. i expect Lil Nog will do the same.

if griffin cannot at least take this to a decision if not a win then his relevence is little to none in the LHW division and he should consider dropping weight.

dropping weight? r u serious? Griffin usually walks around 240 pounds if anything he should go to hw lol and i still think if he loses to nog he can have good fight against thiago silva, rematch wit evans, rampage and shogun or even randy couture and rich franklin, theres no need for him to drop weight class or go up a class

The only thing I can really give to forest is that he can take a beating...

Also, I think he needs to get rid of that soft scare tissue on his face.

Taking nog to the ground isnt easy, and it even harder not to get sub'd once you take lil nog to the ground, he can submit ppl from his back, this is just a bad match up for griffin

Great fighters get their ass kicked when they underestimate Forest. Shogun, Rampage... Nog shouldn't be confused by Forrest's loss to Anderson, everyone loses to Anderson.

i think that if forrest wants to have any chance in this fight, he needs to keep his distance and get his leg kicks working. i think lil nog beats him in the first round by ko though. forrest is very chinny and i cant see it standing up to lil nog's great boxing.
