He cuts like 25 pounds just to fight at 185... He is a pretty big middle weight but I would like to see him do that well at 205 against all the guys there... not just Griffin and Irvin.

Him and Machida would be fun to watch so would him vs The Wand, but he would fight him at 185 too so I would like to see that for sure!

wand is training with team black house now and said wont fight silva. same thing with machida. both machida and silva said they wont fight eachother. silva vs shogun would be a good fight.

i dont know buddy.....im just hoping that fight doesnt get on the ground.....maia's bjj is great, if not the best bjj in the mma......once that fight hits the mat, we might have a new champion....so im a kind of nervous my favorite fighter might lose....

Anderson is a bad ass. Demian Maia is a good fighter, but he is not on the same level as Silva. He will get destroyed.

I agree that he has not been challenged lately but he beat Franklin down 2 times and he was on top when that happened. Then Hendo and Nate were pretty good too!

Im tellin you he needs to fight The Wand!!!

everybody thinks silva is unbeatable, hes a great fighter but he has weaknesses, he is not untouchable! the same group of idiots that think he is unbeatable will be the same group of idiots that think whoever eventully does beat him is unbeatable. i know this will get voted weak because of the silva fan boys and girls, but mark these words!!!

Maia will have a chance if he can take the fight to the ground but most likely Anderson will not go to the ground with him. A.S will probably destroy Maia.

I wouldnt say 240, thats a ridiculous weight cut down to 185, MAYBE 210-220

He is about 210 or 220 because I read somewhere he looses about 25 to 30 lbs for each fight. Thats a lot of weight to cut yea but not if you are a top level fighter who has done it all his life. It is a good way to dominate a lower division though!

He is great that is why I want to see him fight 205.

yeah and those guys are either injured or recovering from a recent match....its sucks vitor belfort had to get injured, that wouldve been a great match....i wish sonnen didnt get beat up so bad in his win, other wise he wouldve been facing the champ right now....

honestly im tired of Silva at the MW division. there are only a handfull of fights in the division for him and no one actually thinks he could lose to any current challengers in the division just that a handfull might make him break a sweat.

he should vacate his title and just stay in the LHW division, LHW looks like a more comfortable weight for him. Silva has had 2 fights in the UFC which were "boring" in which he seemed slugish and a little not into the fight at hand, and that is probally from the 40lbs weight cut he has to make. i think LHW is where all of the real interesting match ups for him lay.

maia is not good enough to take him down we will see how good maias chin really is, anderson is going to dish out the punishment and not take any damage, like the lettis fight but will probably not go all 5 i say 2 maybe 3 rounds maia has savage bjj but has noway to get him to the ground to use it...i think anderson is the best counter puncher in mma. and have u seen anderson get hit much in a fight?

He looks big here, but I still think he makes a small LHW. Haha but I guess that doesn't matter when his 2 LHW fights were against big dudes, and he made them look silly...

As for him staying in the MW division, I AGREE that he doesn't have many real challengers... but to say that he should vacate his title is stupid. Did anyone ask BJ to vacate his LW belt when he moved to WW? And now he's 1 of 2 people to hold 2 belts in 2 different weight classes. How badass would it be if A. Silva could do that but simultaneously...
