Anderson Silva stars in Burger King Commercial

Silva’s acting chops are not stretched to the limits in the commercial where he is lip syncing to Minnie Ripperton’s “Loving You,” but the spot is very telling in one respect. If you watch the commercial you’ll see not once is MMA or the UFC mentioned and the only mention of Silva comes briefly in the introduction of the video. Why is this important you ask? It shows how big a superstar Silva is in Brazil.
It would be hard to imagine a US based company using an MMA star to base a commercial around. Sure, GSP could carry a Canadian spot, but are there any MMA fighters that could do the same in the United States?
At this point, probably not, but maybe with the FOX deal there will be.
