The thousands of fans who packed the HSBC Arena for UFC 134 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil were on their feet cheering, chanting, booing and, when Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira knocked out Brendan Schaub, even crying.

After spending an extended layoff nursing injuries, the legendary Heavyweight came into the bout an underdog and was largely expected to be facing retirement once he lost to "The Hybrid." However, when "Big Nog" knocked out his less experienced opponent in the opening round, the Brazilian fans in attendance weren't the only ones erupting. Below is back stage footage of Nogueira's team reacting to his victory, including an emotional Anderson Silva crying tears of joy. Photo: Francis Specker

The only weak replies on this page are from Chael Sonnen.

Black House is clearly a very intimate and supportive team...The team has some of the best fighters in the world. No wonder that Chael Sonnen is envious of their accomplishments, and wishes so badly to burn their house to the ground...

Yeah... that's really wild for Anderson to invest so much emotional energy here with a title fight not even an hour away. I'm sure that could be very draining, whether Big Nog won or lost.

It's also cool how Minotauro is the elder statesman of Black House, even though Anderson is a year older.

Whew! Good thing you clarified. For a minute there I thought it was a Luke / Darth Vader moment. Nog: "Anderson, I am your father"

Awesome ! it kinda show they had doubts too that he would win this fight lol I really thought Shaub was gonna win and was so happy for big nog. I hope he does not pull the tito ortiz back-against-the wall victory followed by destruction on the next fight.

They should settle Nog vs Mir II next. I wanna see the post staff infectious rematch.

If you ever wondered why those black house guys would never fight each other it should be obvious now.

Nice to see how much a team plays a role on the individual going into the fight. Reminds me a bit of the, "World of Jenks," episode where they followed Anthony Pettis. Jenks was talking to Pat Barry in the locker room before Pettis fought. Barry was saying how when you go the ring, you are not alone, and when you hit, it is like striking w/ 50 fists. This shows that the people supporting that fighter are in there w/ them. When they lose the team is effected, and vice versa. Big up to Big Nog!

definetely a top 10 mma video on my list. maybe a better one than last weeks video about the animated tales of chael!!

im also not a fan of anderson as a person but was really cool to watch anderson so emotional... i had a theory that if big nog got KOed by schaub that will play against andersons performance. i think that win maybe let him be more relaxed against okami. you can tell anderson is a really emotional guy. thats why sometimes he has strange behaviours inside and outside the ring.

and for me that was the only chance okami had. because as we saw he is not the kind of fighter that will defeat AS

    Sorry ..

i didn't get all warm and fuzzy feeling while watching this.

But it shows they really think of themselves as a team. Too bad its an individual sport.

Happy for Nog though .. Schaub was getting on my nerves.
