A Light Heavyweight clash between Alexander Gustafsson and Vladimir Matyushenko is now official for the UFC 133 line-up in August.

UFC officials confirmed the match-up on Saturday..

Gustafsson (11-1) made his octagon debut in 2009, knocking out Jared Hamman just 41-seconds into the opening round before suffering his first career defeat against Phil Davis at UFC 112.  Since the loss, "The Mauler," known primarily as a feared striker, has rebounded with back-to-back submission victories over Cyrille Diabate and most recently James Te Huna.

Matyushenko (26-5), meanwhile, is fresh off of an impressive 20-second knockout victory over Jason Brilz at last month's UFC 124.  The win makes the former IFL Champion 4-1 in his current UFC run, which includes previous victories against Alexandre Ferreira, Eliot Marshall, and Igor Pokrajac. "The Janitor's" only loss since returning to the promotion came at UFC on Versus 2, when he was TKO'ed by current Light Heavyweight champ Jon "Bones" Jones.

UFC 133 is set to take place August 6th from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  The card will be headlined by a Light Heavyweight showdown between top contender Rashad Evans and rising prospect Phil Davis, while Antonio Rogerio Nogueira takes on Rich Franklin in the co-main event.

I'm guessing Matyushenko will win, but so long as it's a good fight, I'll be happy either way.

Gustafsson is gonna knock him down and finish it off with either g'n'p or a RNC. Trust me, thats the way its going down.

I think this is a case of superb match making by the UFC, I think its time for Gustafsson to go against some bigger names and a veteran that isn't top 10 but probably top 20 is a good choice. Gustafsson is a fanatastic striker one of the best in the UFC and there is no evidence to suggest he has a weak chin. I think round 1 will be a striking war with Gustafsson coming out with a clear win, second round The Janitor will start going for takedowns and here it will be up to Gustafsson to show his growing skills. In his fight with Phil Davis he actually did incredibly well with stuffing takedowns, in fact Phil was unable to get him to the ground and it was only when Gustafsson tried to take Phil down (stupid idea for sure) that he got caught in a sub.

I don't think Gustafsson can stop The Janitor but I see him wining all 3 rounds.
