Alan Belcher vs. Rousimar Palhares set for UFC on Fox 3

A Middleweight showdown between Alan Belcher and Rousimar Palahares has been confirmed for the upcoming UFC on Fox 3 event.
UFC President Dana White announced the addition today via Twitter.
Belcher (17-6) recently made his octagon return after a career-threatening eye injury sidelined the Roufusport product for well over a year. Picking up where he had left off, "The Talent" battered Jason MacDonald into submission at UFC Fight Night 25 in September. Now 5-1 in his last six appearances, Belcher will look to cement his place in the title mix with an impressive showing on FOX.
Standing in his way, however, will be fellow rising contender, Palhares (14-3). Currently riding a three-fight winning streak of his own, the Brazilian leg-lock specialist needed just 63-seconds to force Mike Massenzio to tap-out at UFC 142. The victory marked his seventh with the promotion, five of which have come by way of submission.
The Middleweight clash is likely to be featured on the televised portion of the UFC on Fox 3 card, which will take place May 5th from the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Also scheduled is a Lightweight title eliminator between top contenders Jim Miller and Nate Diaz, as well as a Welterweight tilt pitting Josh Koscheck against Johny Hendricks.

paul harris goal isnt to win it is to tear a acl lool
Insensitive Prick!
Rousimar by Heel Hook seems like the most likely thing that can happen lol
Very dangerous fight for Belcher, especially coming off a layoff......
You got to have a certain amount of balls to step into the cage with Palhares...seems like he is the guy that is most likely to cause long term and career affecting damage.
Toquinho is just pure fun to watch....hope to see him with the belt one day...he is probably the MW I root for the most and when people call him Pal Harris i just cant stop laugthing.....awesome!
Good step up for Belcher. He was scheduled to fight Maia before he got sidelined, and this is a similar style match up. Both of these guys bring it, there should be an "of the Night" bonus somewhere on this one.
Don't like Alans chances here.
Need to be an elite wrestler or JJ artist to keep your legs away from this guy Palhares.
Oh damn good fight
Is there a move more feared in all MMA than Palhares heel hook?
Damn, does anyone like Belcher for this one? I sure dont, lol.
The Belcher high kick to the short Palhares could bring a short night, you never know.
