World Extreme Cagefighting officials have confirmed that 14,144 spectators attended the promotion's first PPV event at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, California. The event banked Zuffa a record-setting WEC $1,000,000 gate receipt, $184,585 more than the promotion's previous best set at WEC 41. The numbers represent an average price of $70.70 per ticket.

WEC 48 attendance numbers are another record set at the event, alongside the huge $65,000 bonuses awarded to Ben Henderson, Manny Gamburyan, Leonard Garcia  and "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung.

Next WEC attraction will take place on June 20, 2010 at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The event will be headlined by the Lightweight bout between the former Champion Jamie Varner and the unbeaten Kamal Shalorus.
