UFC Welterweight Rick Story handed the previously unbeaten prospect Johny Hendricks his first loss tonight, winning via unanimous decision.  This marks Story's fifth straight win since losing his debut to John Hathaway back in 2009 and puts him one step closer to the top of the division.

Both men came out swinging, however Hendricks was able to catch Story early before clinching against the cage.  Much of the round saw a struggle for position, with Story's aggression making the difference in the round.  The second round was much of the same, as the fighters started off with an exchange followed by a battle for positional dominance.  In an attempt to establish control early in the third, Hendricks came out with an opening takedown attempt that nearly cost him the bout, as Story was able to lock in a guillotine.  Hendricks successfully hung on though and holding Story on the ground against the cage for the remainder of the bout.

With no clear dominance in any department by either men, Story's agression and attempts at finishing payed off as the judges read the final scores in his favor 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.
