Ronda Rousey calls out Cris Cyborg, says "Come down to 135"

Ronda Rousey submitted Kaufman via armbar in just 54 seconds, by this defending her Strikeforce Bantamweight title for the first time. Rousey is now 6-0 in her Mixed Martial Arts career, all victories via armbar.
Here's what "Rowdy" said post-fight at the Valley View Casino Center:
"I need to send out a challenge to Cyborg there. People want to see you have the first fair fight of your life. I'm the champion now.
The champ doesn't go to you. You go to the champ. Come down to 135 and let's settle this. If you still want to go out in the parking lot, my friend Russell brought my gloves, and I'm going to be there."
In her most recent appearance for Strikeforce, Santos defeated Hiroko Yamanaka at just sixteen seconds into the first round. However, on January 6th, 2012, Santos tested positive for anabolic steroid stanozolol. The fight with Yamanaka has been changed to a no contest, while Santos had her license suspended for one year and was fined $2,500.

If Cyborg cant make 135 Ronda needs to meet her at 140 the belt in WMMA means nothing right now, its all about putting on the biggest fights possible.

Cyborg is a big name....I just hope Rhonda and Cyborg can put on a war if they do fight without a quick armbar finish.

whats are her goals though is it to make money, and get WMMA in the UFC, the media buzz, hype, attention, viewership for that fight might get Dana to change his mind.

Ronda is a beast, but not a beast of cyborgs calibre.
She's a great fighter but she's only saying this because cyborg has already stated that she can't possibly make 135.

Ronda now has the problem Jon Jones is on the verge of having - being so good that there is no one left to fight.
Tate had a great fight but does anybody really want to see that rematch? I don't see it ending differently from the first fight, especially since Ronda's improvement is on a much faster scale than Tate's.
If Cyborg can even make 135, until she does there is literally no one for Rousey to fight
Her problem is slightly different. Jones took out all the top guys in a talent rich division. Ronda dominated a division that never had enough participants to develop a lot of top competitors. That's why the media tends to focus on one woman so much (Carano, Cyborg, Rousey). Honestly, it's hard to tell how good she really is but it is clear how much better she is than the rest.
Why can't Ronda go to 145? She fought there before, and her weight class at the Olympics was 70 kg (154).
Cyroid has scary power, but I don't think her ground game is that great. Gina Carano mounted her in their fight. If Rousey can close the distance, she will throw Cyroid and she will get the submission win.
If not, Cyroid is going to break her face.

However, on the second, since the Carano fight Cyborg has competed at ADCC and done decently. She's probably not on the level of Ronda on the ground (as few are, man or woman), but I don't think it would be a squash match there. Especially, if Evangelista gets on top.
I know Ronda throws around dudes all the time in training but fighting one in the cage is a little different.

why would cyborg go down to 135 even if she could make the weight? right now cyborg is still the #1 P4P female fighter. if rounda wants to be #1 shes the one that needs to go up or do a CW which cyborg can actually make

Cypborg is still the #1 P4P female fighter, not Ronda. Ronda has been winning with just one move and no one has come close to stopping it. That says a lot about WMMA.
This situation reminds me of the Arly Royce Gracie taking out all the big punchers in early UFC. BJJ and wrestling(Judo) will nullify the present strikers.Rousey came in at the right time. I was waiting for a wrestler with sick BJJ skills to come in a dominate but Judo is close enough for now to get the takedowns.
Sara McMann maybe able to nullify the Judo, but here progression hasn't been as rapid as Rousey.
