IMO Nick is overrated.... It keeps sayin that he is one of the best in the world yet just like (and dont eat my heart anyone) Fedor he hasnt fought any top comp, or atleast since the UFC and even in the UFC he couldnt keep pace... Lost to Sherk, who is a big lightweight but still hes a lightweight, Diego, also i big lightweight but still fought at lightweight...idk if anyone is getting my point here but he was complaining about goin up tp 185 but he couldnt even beat fighters who fight at lightweight, who went up to welterweight so he overrated to me.....
dude hasnt lost in like 3 years and he beat gomi wit a dirty gogoplata while high as ****.. n yea he lost a split decision to diego and i think another decision to sherk either way that was long before he became the diaz we know and love today buddy dont hate jus sit and watch cuz he aint slowin down my friend
Well until Dana gives him an offer or they co=promoted everyone can speculate and its normal too. Hes destroying everyone who gets in there with him, what can you expect?
Nick is not overrated man, he actually is one of the most skilled fighter in MMA today for sure!! His big problem, and what truly keeps him from being considered top 10 p4p is his average wrestling skills.
Nick has a wide boxing stance, but he does damage. He throws a ton, and wears his opponents down. If you look @ his old UFC fights, he messes people up and only has problems with wrestlers like Sanchez, Sherk...etc. Nate is a little Sav also, but just like his last fight, people exploit the Diaz brothers by taking them down. If Nick had good take down defense, he could beat GSP. His BJJ is top notch, and the same goes fro Nate.
One thing you can't argue, is that both he and Nate are fighters!! not pussies, but fighters. Like they said, they don't go into to win rounds, and that may cost them fights from time to time. But they go in to whoop some ass, and they fight! Last thing, I don't know why have Shields and Melendez available, they don't tighten up their wrestling skills, and vice versa have Nick make Shields boxing skills better. They rep NorCal , and we are proud of Nick & Nate!!
Those decisions were unanimous but yeah, it is definitely debatable. Also, I might add, Diaz has also fought at LW and after leaving the UFC with 2 wins beat (in addition to Gomi) Noons, Sakurai and Zaromskis. Diaz is at least top 20 if he isn't top ten.
Oh, he also beat Scott Smith at a catch wt. and before someone comes at me with "he couldn't even make it through TUF", Frankie Edgar couldn't even make it ONTO TUF and look at him now.
Haven't you heard of all the whining he does about the lack of money he's getting in strikeforce he even stated that GSP makes in the millions as UFC champion and Diaz only made 50 grand for the fight against noons

Dana won't give him an offer. Dana kicked him out of the UFC.

...lol... the way UFC keeps letting ppl go.....and at 170 ....is a great weight
class and huge talent...but right now after "Cyborg".....there is "SYMTEX" but UFC.....man.......KOs, Fitch, Alvez,..Hardy ,..Hendricks..
dont get it the money he could make in the UFC with 4 fights ayear
Oh, he also beat Scott Smith at a catch wt. and before someone comes at me with "he couldn't even make it through TUF", Frankie Edgar couldn't even make it ONTO TUF and look at him now.
Frankie Edgar was invited directly to the UFC instead of participating in the show...
He would have to hes in the UFC and wasnt in Tuff lol, just messing with you Joey
Not at the time. He got the offer after the TUF prelims. During them, he was rejected.
I was bummed when he didnt resign with the UFC .. but if i remember correctly he didnt have a choice. But Nick seems like he wants back in to me.
Dana says he got rid of Nick after he got into that fight with Riggs in the hospital.

Just this week Cesar Gracie said on the MMA hour that it was his and Nicks decision not to resign with the UFC.

Who knows whats really going on.
well why would he? he's probably got a better deal at strikeforce and he's trying to help grow their welterweight division.
plus there's matchups there that are interesting for him like daley and maybe woodley.
