If you have to scour the Earth, the division shouldn't exist. I'm with Dana on this one, at least as far as women's MMA in the UFC is concerned.
Maybe they should sign Brett Rogers back, I heard he's good at fighting women
They should give Ken flo another title shot....
Cyborg?.. Wandy take of that wig we know its you..
Cyborg should be the first and only female fighter to fight in the Men's Featherweight division.
No, don't be silly. Zuffa already told her that she'll be the reigning champ of the UFC Tranny Division. (TD)
I suppose you are looking for someone to find that funny.
Whats even funnier than your disrespect is the fact that you guys wouldn't say that to her in front of you, she'd kick your pathetic assess
Seems 15 people found it funny; so he was infact a very successful man.
Correction Deadly....successful tranny....Oh well you cant teach respect to a bunch of degenerates.
Shes in an awkward spot. My advise would be to tone down her fighting and simply do enough to win. Otherwise be prepared to sit 2 years between fights.
She is in my top 20 most exciting figthers to watch (male and female)...love to see her in action.Awesome!!!
If cyborg cut to 135 and was completely drained and weak, she'd probably still beat everyone there
Everyone here too
Haha!
But seriously, why not fight against men. Could she compete against male featherweights. That main event would rate its ass off. As long as it stays in Strikeforce I would love to see it.
Apparently Melendez needs someone to fight. She could fight at 155 without cutting weight.
Cyborg is the only female fighter who deserves to be in the division.
She fights hard and looks like a bloke....
Most Women however should be polishing their nails, cooking and ironing, not trying to compete with a genetic male born with a vagina.
Hot women should be mud wrestling in bikinis not fighting
Are they checking the women for high testosterone levels? Cyborg seriously looks and sounds like a man. Even worse, she is as strong as a man as well. Crazy!
That's a good point. I'd think that she'd have to take the same tests as the guys do to get a license from the Athletic Commission, right? (I hope that isn't wishful thinking on my part).
Also, remember the huge controversy over Caster Semenya, the South African olympian whose gender was challenged? Endocrinologists have called them "gender benders" since determining whether they are men or women isn't a clear cut issue that to be determined by "cosmetic" issues (to put it nicely). When they tested Semenya, her testosterone levels were several times greater than a woman's- and it was natural! They were hard pressed to come up with a solution so she could compete on a more level playing field.
It will be interesting to see if she has any blood work issues in the future.
and her/his last name is Semen-ya lmao, just ask if it needs tampons, that should clear it up pretty quickly.
should just take up kickboxing while they try and find her opponents, with bigger gloves she might not tko everyone in round1
Just stick her in with the dudes, she looks like a dude, probably was a dude at one time, and no-one would notice the difference anyway. She might even win a few fights.
Cyborg should be tested for roids!!!!
Rather than drop weight, Cyborg should drop the juice!
They're never going to put Cyborg up against a man, for those of you who are wishfully stating that like it's a possibility. It's a no-win situation. Sure, people would want to see it, but would you REALLY want to be the MMA fighter who was known as "beating the woman"? It's a title that would follow you around for the rest of your career. And if Cyborg DID happen to win (which is completely possible) you'd then be "the fighter who got beat by a woman". Just based on this factor alone, I highly doubt there will ever be a female vs male match up, or at least not anywhere in the next 15-20 years.
I honestly don't think she uses roids. I think the reason she looks a lot like a dude is because she trains like one. She and Gina Carano both have a "brutal" strength and conditioning workout video on youtube, but Gina's is a lot of core stability and body weight exercises, while Cyborg's is freaking crazy. Gina does balance exercises in plank position, Cyborg does speed powercleans. Gina does agility and footwork exercises, Cyborg does speed standing military presses. Gina does 10 reps for weighted rotations, Cyborg does them as fast as she can for a minute. Cyborg also does all of this while wearing a weighted vest, while Gina goes without. Cris Cyborg just seems like she's held to a higher standard by her trainer, but what would you expect when she trains with the same guy that does fitness traing for Junior dos Santos?
All that said, when it comes to Cyborg vs. Carano, I know which one of them I'd prefer to sleep with.
Oh yea, she took roids at sometime for sure!
Based on... what exactly? What makes you certain that no woman on earth can bulk up at all? Let's be honest here, Cyborg's noticably more ripped than her opponents, but when she fights she looks way more muscular than normal because she walks around at about 170 and cuts to 145. And even then, she's not even the most muscular woman in sports ever. Is it impossible that she's managed to get bigger and stronger than her opponents because she actually works harder?
Is it just me or does she look halfway decent in this video.. I'd do her just to say I did .. just like Oprah
