Strikeforce Results: Shinya Aoki makes a quick work of Lyle Beerbohm
Posted on April 9, 2011, 09:30 PM by Anton GurevichShinya Aoki got his first victory on the American soil, defeating Lyle Beerbohm via a vicious Neck Crank submission, only 1:32 minutes into Round 1.
Beebohm was the early aggressor, pushing Aoki to the fence. But the Japanese veteran managed to respond with a takedown, as Lyle Beerbohm immediately found himself defending submissions against one of the best grapplers in the World.
From there, it was a short way to Submission, as Shinya Aoki successfully bounced back from the embarrassing performance at Dynamite!! 2010. Aoki is now 27-5 in his MMA career and is surely one step closer to appearing back on the Lightweight radar.
