Daniel Cormier made a bold statement for the Strikeforce Heavyweight GP crown with a vicious knockout victory over Antonio "Bigfoot" Siva.

Cormier approached the fight with a lot of patience, not rushing in into exchange with a much bigger Antonio Silva. But Cormier's patience immediately paid off; AKA product unleashed a powerful right hand that sent Antonio Silva down to the canvas. The Brazilian was able to survive the attack, but it was only a matter of time before Cormier gets his go again.

Silva went on offensive, looking to repeat the turn of events in a fight with Mike Kyle, but Daniel Cormier responded with a perfect striking combination that slayed down the giant out cold. Daniel Cormier is not Mike Kyle, and despite what so many people say - he's also not Roy Nelson. Daniel Cormier is a future Heavyweight Champion.

Daniel Cormier is the first man to ever KO/TKO Antonio Silva (Bigfoot wasn't really finished by Eric Pele), and will now face Josh Barnett in the final. Cormier is now 9-0 in his Mixed Martial Arts campaign. Unbeaten, and ready for the biggest fight of his great career.

I had a feeling DC was going to take this veen though I went against him.......... but no way in hell did i think he was going to pull it off like that. Best peformance of the night and he has just thrown himself into top 10 HW rankings and made the matchup with Barnett very interesting due to his Olympic caliber wrestling.

Cormier is a f*cking animal !!! He's gonna run through Barnett too... There's no way in hell Barnett is gonna take Cormier down and Cormier's striking will be too much for Barnett to handle. I wanna see Cormier loose the blubber belly and drop down to LHW, sign with the UFC and cause PROBLEMS !!!

    Just some quick math:

    1. Olympic Wrestling

    2. Super Athletic

    3. Great Speed

    4. Rampage KO Power

    = Future UFC Champ !!!

Cormier can easily make 205 if he wants to... and sure its a tougher division but he fits right in it. I wanna see him step UP in competition, not down and i can see him compete with the best LHW in the UFC. After he runs through Barnett i don't see any real challenge for him at Strikeforce and for him to keep evolving he needs that step up in competition and test himself against the best!

Yeah definitely cause some problems in the UFC but he will have to cut down to light heavy...He says it all the time that he trains with the best heavyweight in the world (Cain Velasquez). I think he knows Cain is a beast. sick cardio, great hands, wrestling, everything. I think Cormier should stay in Strikeforce and dominate everyone. Strikeforce = Cashcow. Milk It Cormier.....feed your family

Cormier exposed Silva's glass chin. He dropped him with some weak shots. That final uppercut looked suspect or Silva just can't take a punch as well as we all thought.

It might "look" weak... that does not necessarily mean they are weak! They can look weak and have vicious power behind him.. You never know until you're on the receiving end of the punch!

I was fairly shocked although I probably shouldn't of been. Great fight, good display of hands an discipline.

Would love to see him do it again against Barnett.

I knew there would be a HUGE upset tonight and something told me THIS match would be it. I had a feeling Cormier would win but I had no idea he would win in this fashion!

And remember when Bigfoot fought Cormier's training partner Mike Kyle? Kyle had him in all kinds of trouble similar fashion so I'm sure this was no coincidence
