Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum Pre-Fight Interviews

Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum is set to talk place this Saturday from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas and will kick-off the second round of the Heavyweight Grand Prix quarterfinal bouts.  The stacked card will be headlined by division Champion Alistair Overeem and Fabricio Werdum, while Josh Barnett and Brett Rogers go head to head in the co-main event.  Several of the card's main card competitors were available just day's ahead of their match-ups to discuss their opponents, as well as their gameplans heading into the bout.  Interviews via  StudioMMA.com

Josh Barnett: There's no way to avoid fighting on the feet, every fight starts on the feet. So yea, you're going to see some blows being thrown.  You're going to see kicks, punches, elbows, knees, the whole gambit, but I'm going to bring a much more varied attack.  I'm going to bring the ground game as well... (I'm) the meanest son of a ***** out there.  I go for the finish, most of my fights never make it past two rounds.

Brett Rogers: I'm definitely looking for a fun, exciting fight.  Hopefully we can both keep it on the feet and give the fans what they want.  Also, in the long run, I'm kind of excited to do a little bit of everything and a little bit of extra.  I don't want the fighters to think that they're going to see the same Brett Rogers every time, in every fight.  That's not going to be the case.  Before, it used to be the same thing, now its more MMA.

KJ Noons: I think you can expect a war, tough opponent... For this camp, I really wrestled a lot, I did a lot of jiu-jitsu, and I brought back my kicks.  So, I'm ready for wherever the fight is going to go.  It's MMA right?  It's not boxing... After this, hopefully I get a title shot.  I want the title, I want to be the champ.

Jorge Masvidal: I'm going to just stay cool at all times. Just hit and not get hit and don't get into a fire fight.  Just do my fight that I always do...Not a war, because a war means its two sides with guns.  Only this side has a gun, so its more like a war crime or something...I'm confident for all fights, I'm winning this fight man.
