WTF I didnt see it but they stood the fight up when Lashley had full mount????? What is this Elite XC, give the guy back his position if you're just checking a cut.

He wasn't doing anything, he looked like a dead sea lion laying on the guy. I think it was a legit stand up.

Refs need to either stop the fight or don't stop the fight. You can't be dancing around sort of putting your arm in the way, then taking it out, then going back and forth etc. I think a stoppage was justified as soon as the standing combo was finished and the guy fell to the ground.

Noons wins by illegal strike. Nice. Never liked the guy, now I really don't can't stand this kid and want Diaz to kick his ass.

The fight was already OVER before the illegal knee.

No it wasn't. Watch it again.

The bell CLEARLY rung after the first round when the hook came. That was not "in the heat of the moment" or a product of a combo- he's a cheater. That CLEARLY affected him (adversely)- I think it was tantamount to a TKO- Noons should not have won that fight.

It was over man, If you like you can compare this to the Jones vs Hamil fight because KJ was clearly about to finish that.

He still is better than brock in my opinion as a fighter and I still pick him to beat brock. I think there are a few guys that are brocks strength that will beat him like a rematch with carwin for example although I believe Carwin would beat Lashley.

NO I'M NOT! NO I'M NOT! NO I'M NOT!!!! (holds breath)

    Sticks and stones tough guy.

Falcon, I see your point, BUT, I consider the hook at the end of round one to be a distinguishing factor from the JJ v Hamil fight. I think that strike after the bell, which was horsesh*t and Noons knows it, to be a contributing factor to his state going into the second round.

The illegal knee: The fight wasn't over. Blame the ref if you like, but that fight kept going. The knee was illegal regardless and Noons, based on that and the hook post bell, should not have won that fight.

    My opinion, (whiney or not).

The punch thrown simultaneously with the bell at the conclusion of the first round dropped Gurgel, but the fight continued. The knee strike, which is the strike that is being debated, came at a questionable time however. The fight was over before the strike, but the ref was not very assertive in his decision. Which is what lead to the knee strike. Fact is tho, the ref did in fact end the bout a split second before the knee was thrown. Therefore the knee had nothing to do with the win itself. Had it been seconds sooner, Noons may have been penalized. With that aside, what throwing an illegal knee says about Noons is a matter of personal opinion. Maybe it was with malicious intent, or maybe the referee's confusing behavior led to an honest mistake.

Wow, you need to watch the end of round one again. Bell rang, hook thrown (and not part of a combo).

That fight should have been stopped after the 2nd punch (left hook). The knee looked like it grazed him and was being stopped before it anyway.

Yeah I'm sure Noons timed it just perfectly so as to hit him right after the bell. I bet he was counting in his head the number of seconds left and decided to throw heavy right at 0. Give me a break.

I said a worse fate noobster not that KJ ended it. KJ was dominating him and it wouldn't have went much further. If you thought KJ was losing I can understand your thought about brock being special.

Not quite the same thing. It was dehfinitely a malicious intent in paul daleys case it was freaking 3 minutes after the bell not 1 second. Just adrenaline in overdrive.
