Josh Barnett (LOSER): $200,000
Ok, let me see...
...
WHAT?????!!!!!!!!!!!
thats life my friend.
Barnett (was) a much bigger draw and probably had a better contract prior to the few fights Cormier has had recently. Not really that surprising - of course, if they both entered the UFC Cormier will get the bigger paycheck.
I can see why Gil wants more money, JB made more than him, Hendo made 800k in his last fight with SF, Gil has been with SF since its birth.
Well, Barnett is a known name than Cormier. And now that he has won the GP, he'll be known. If he keep winning fights against big name opponents, you'll see him get more dough than his opponent, even if he loses.
What is really interesting is that Barrnet got more money then Cain got for his title defense vs JDS.
Barnett's been around a good while. That's usually how you land the bigger paydays. That & winning of course.
Not surprisingly Warmaster will make more money. It's a job, pay raises with time and results, Josh has been around for a while and has fought and beaten some great fighters.
