Strikeforce Fedor vs Werdum Weigh-Ins: Fighters hit the scale in San Jose, California

All participants without exception have successfully made weight for their fights, as the Heavyweight main eventers Fedor Emelianenko and Fabricio Werdum met the scale at 229 and 238.5 pounds.
Strikeforce Womens Lightweight Champion Cris Cyborg had half-pound spare weighting 144.5 pounds, as her opponent Jan Finney weighed 143.5 pounds. The bout between the two will serve as the co-main event of the night.

He's taken on bigger guys and even submitted them while he was on his back and they were laying on top of him.
I really liked the joyous atmosphere and the respect that the fighters showed each other... no trash-talk , no macho-bullshit, I like that side of mma better.

anyway Fedor is one small heavyweight , Forrest weights the same as him and he is taller and fights at 205.

It's no secret Fedor always looks soft but he's looking even more soft than usual.

Finney looks bigger muscle tone wise than Cyborg, but Cyborg is obviously stronger. The fight will be interesting....

i can't stand fedor nay-sayers and how uneducated they are in his triumphs. it angers me so much.

im a fedor fan and a brock fan, i just like good fights. but people just like to hate on both. i think fedor is gonna take this, good fight for him being that he is in SF. lesnar only has one impressive victory in my opionon, his defeat of randy couture. i never thought much of Mir, the UFC HW division at the time that Mir came up was probally the weakest division at the time. if Lesnar goes on to beat Carwin; he should defend against JDS, who i think really shows a highlevel striking skillset that we have yet to see Brock face. i think Lesnar is still a bit green, i think he has a good chance of beating any of the UFC HW's and the experience would help develope his game more. if the UFC keeps giving him people with similar or favorable skillsets, he isn't really going to develope into nothing more than a HW version of GSP and i think brock is capable of more exciting conflicts than GSP.
This is going to be a quick night, Fedor by KO! I don't know what Strikeforce was thinking by putting Werdum against Fedor when they could have been firm with the Overeem fight so we didn't have to see Rogers get dominated so badly in the same way Werdum will get dominated tonight. 2 mismatched fights.
It wasnt Strikeforce it was M-1 trying to dodge any good comp. Fedor might want good comp but M-1 doesnt want him to fight it.

The only thing they're thinking is that once Fedor takes the belt, there is nobody left for Fedor to fight. They need to stretch it out. The Overeem fight, if it happens at all, will probably be a year away.
