Showtime from what I have seen and heard, check MMAFighting.com it has an interview with Scott Coker during the MMAhour (which is freakin 3 hours long)
Fedor vs Bigfoot possible PPV event of the year? I don't think so..
Overeem vs Fedor?? Silva vs GSP?? Their are other more attractive possible match-ups, but Fedor vs Bigfoot is great ofcourse! Can't agree with you on biggest PPV.
i can't believe it because there are some casual mma fans who don't even know who Fedor is but they know who GSP, Silva and Penn are and you call him the biggest name in MMA?
Fedor is one of the greatest names ever. Most people here are still young and didn't even watched most of his fight, only highlights. They can't tell.
Fedor is in a list with other huge MMA fighter. It's a discussion that's always going to be their, for me.. All nr.1
I've watched most of the Pride events in Japanese. At that time Fedor was THE man. Nobody could beat him. But people get older and a new generation is comming. Better trained, more well rounded, diets etc. Fedor isnt the Fedor he was back in the days. Everyone who watched those events agree with me on that. He moved like a damn lightweight, it was insane. That Fedor would have destroyed Werdum, out muscled him and then Ko'ed or Submitted him.
I fear that a new breed like A. Overeem would kick Fedor's but, these days. But I can garantee you. The Fedor of that time. Overeem, JDS, Valasquez, Shane wouldn't make it to the end of the fight.
I am looking forward to seeing Fedor fight again and I am curious to see how he comes back from his first real loss. Because he fights so infrequently, and his recent bouts have been short, it is hard to assess his current abilities.
While I think Fedor will probably win, I am amazed at how Antonio "Easter Island" Silva is dismissed by fans.
he is dismissed because, he talks smack about many of his opponents, if u haventl heard, but again silva is too SLOW and he could barely beat mike kyle so he is not an exiting fighter to me, plus he has a giant face. and stinks like a s s
i think the very fact that his fights have been so short says enough about his current abilities. the only fighter i see making it out of the 1st round against him in this tournament is Overeem.
for all the haters that say that fedor is not as good as he is,,WRONg the last emperor is 34 he still got til 37, so 3 years left, he can beat cain anyday of the weak , cain has a weak jaw , he got dropped 4 times by kongo, so nobody in the ufc post a treat besides, carwin who is training with fedor.. so if he wins the tourney, nobody in the right mind should denied him being #1 ranked.
Actually the winner of the Tournament would the current pfp best HW in the world. Of course there would be a small question mark in that since Cain cannot participate, but that happens in everysport.
Given the size and names in that Tourney it is safe to say that a new King will emerge from that. Although I do rank Fedor as the "eternal emperor" of the sport no matter what happens in the future.
Legacy of the past is one of the things that future cannot touch.

C'mon bro .. you cant use that type of logic in fighting.
Kongo is 6'4 240 .. he probably hits pretty damn hard.
Cain didn't go out.
That's like saying because Werdum Beat Fedor and Dos Santos beat Werdum .. Then Dos Santos would win against Fedor.
Doesn't work that way .. at all.
