@2drunk. cant you get showtime through sky or btinternet. its 24.95 as an add on for all 4 events involved in this tournament or 9.95 each. Im in england and have espn which is great value for all the ufc and i get football so i hate ppv but i cant be bothered to watch it through the computer even though its free. Picture is never great, id rather watch it on my 50inch tv in good quality. I send you message regarding a site that always has live events for free. (justin.tv)

i don't give fedor much of a chance in this tournament. he's definately past his prime. he showed chinks in his armour against arlovski and rogers where he looked very beatable and then he was beaten by werdum (hardly the best hw out there).

Fedor in his prime would have probably won like he did in the open GP but I think he is definately on the slide.

too bad he never fought the best in the world a few years ago to really test himself.

chinks in his armor? Lol.. you are ****ing retarded. He lost once, following up through after rocking werdum and got caught. It was more his mistake than werdums success. Like fedor said, if people think theyve found holes in his game, let them try and exploit it.

And he wasn't even able to compete in the Openweight GP, he was injured. That's why CroCop won it. Fedor won the Heavyweight GP the year before.

Fedor is going to come in and do a much better and complete version of what Mike Kyle did to Silva at the start of their fight.

did you think he was impressive against rogers before he landed the haye maker?

he was getting man handled. The old fedor from the pride days would have dominated rogers from start.

i like fedor, just sayin he's well past his best.

He was impressive against Rogers. He won the first round only being in a bad position once during which he was just waiting for am arm. Even against the cage he was just resting for a second and then he tossed a guy who out weighed him by 40+ lbs like a rag doll. If you watched that fight and only saw that last punch you know nothing about fighting.

Id SF and M-1 don't muck this up

and end up with all alternates fighting

    this tournie will be huge

and set the pace for even the UFC

8 top 20 guys of a weight class in a Bellator style tournie

could become the mode for big time MMA

A lot of people don't think Rogers should be in this. He is 11-2. Lets not forget just who he lost to. If you are going to have to lose, at least they were to two of the best in the HW division. I am an Alistair fan and don't care that much for Rogers but he was doing quite well against Fedor, he deserves to be in it still.

I still think Rogers is easily top 20. That said, Barnett has SICK catch wrestling. I don't see Rogers getting out of the first round. I much rather would have liked to see Arlovski V Barnett and Rogers V Kharitinov in the quarters. I think that stylistically those would have been better match ups. Arlovski works against all three though.

Well, we all know Dana White says crap about other organizations other than the UFC but you must agree that SF is ridiculous on his athletes and champions. After the Jake Shields vs Dan Henderson promotion fiasco were they basically discredit their own champion, they put Fedor on the front and Overeem, the legit HW champion and K-1 2010 GP winner behind him...

Sorry guys, I couldn't help but point that out! Flame on ;)

Nice job SF, dont get too surprised if DW signs the "Reem" in a near future after all, he may criticize other organizations but he hypes and defends the UFC champions...

What are you talking about? What's your point? Jake Shields wanted to leave the SF regardless of the result with Hendo. Jake Shields showed that SF fighters can be better than the UFC by beating Hendo. Overeem will not go to the UFC because it has to offer him. He is not Jake Shields. Overeem can fight in K-1 and Dream with the same even bigger money than in the UFC. Does he really need to go to the UFC. He still has a lot of fighters to fight in SF - Fedor, Barnett, Arlovski, Big Foot, rematch with Kharitonov, to fight all those guys will take him another 2-3 years.

Not to mention that its not at all obvious that the UFC has the best heavyweights in the world and the popular opinion kind of indicates that they never did. The thing was that even after Pride died there has been ways for Heavyweights to make good money outside of the UFC.

From where I am sitting this is the biggest thing to happen in MMA since the prime of Pride.

The UFC can offer Overeem only Cain, Dos Santos and maybe Shane Carwin (one round) as a good competition. Overeem will do to Brock exactly what he did to Brett Rogers and Brock's exception wrestling won't help. Overeem is too powerfull for Brock to handle.

Exactly, the popular perception is that the UFC fighters make a lot more money than in the rest of the organizations. But this is the case with Brock, GSP. Overeem makes not less than those guys fighting in Dream , SF and K-1.

I think Fedor will get past Silva, but if Reem beats Werdum which should be a no contest, you won't be seeing Fedor in the final.

If any of you watched Rogers last fight it should be a huge indication that this guy should not be involved in this tournament. Never saw such a pathetic display of judges, he lost handedly to a 40 year old "Warpath" and got the judges nod by some payout, or miracle.

Fedor did set the tempo for every MMA fighter, but his lack of competition in strikeforce, and his inability to come to terms with a superior organization will forever question his true potential. Now if he was to fight a guy like CockLesnar, Mir, Cain, Carwin, any of UFC's top 5 I have no doubt he would get beat. The guy is simply on the decline, and I'm not saying that because he lost a fight, its just the nature of life. Hes not in the same league as an ageless Anderson Silva, but should always be regarded as one of the best of all time.

Fedor loses second round and retires would be my guess...Hopefully signing a senior citizen deal with Randy to have a final clash of the titans.

Am I excited for Strikeforces tourney, absolutely. I expect the finals to either be Reem vs Barnett or vs Arlovski. Hopefully Dana quits pretending he has no idea this tournament is going on and decides to do something similar, rather then have 2 guys coach a team and fight for a title.

I disagree about Fedor. We don't know if he's on a decline. He's 33-34, year younger than Anderson. You can't question his potential, he has already proved his potential. Just because UFC is the current big dog, Fedor proved himself in Pride which at the time was the bigger dog. I highly doubt that Mir, Cain, Carwin, Brock will give him much of a fight, maybe Cain can grind out a decision. Mir does not have the ground nor the striking compared to Fedor, Carwin will gas, whom is also slow compared to F, mentioning Brock along side Fedor is just sad. I'm sure if he wins this tourny people will be back on the Fedor boat, and if he loses people way say "Told you so!"

UFC's former Freak of Nauture was smashed and killed in his last two fights and still fights for the interim belt that shows how weak UFC HW devision is and peole still talking about UFC Rogers and Silva got more KO's than Carwin, JDS and Cain and i tell you Rogers lost to fighters who are 1000 times better than UFC HW's

I think some of you are delusional. If Fedor came down with a case of Herpes you would be arguing that its just Frost bite. I've been watching MMA for years and you have to be high off your ass if you think Fedor ranks above AS.

I'm not sure if you have watched how Dana has gained weight but pretty sure theres a video of him benching 3 plates a side, 315lbs...I would be shocked in Coker could lift the bar. Fat mess...get your facts straight, and take a look in the mirror.

The only legitimate top 10 HWs that UFC doesn't have is Fedor and Reem...maybe Barnett. I'm expecting Fedor to make it to round 2 to face Overeem, but I wouldn't be surprised if Silva's long reach beats him to the punch. The guy has an under estimated jab, and a fairly sound ground game.
