Sergei Kharitonov knocks out Andrei Arlovski in the First Round

Arlovski controlled the action in earlier parts of the fight with good movement and striking combination, as Kharitonov decided to use the "wait and see" approach with a relatively defensive style.
But when Kharitonov finally opened up, he landed a perfect combination of uppercuts and right-left punches that forced Arlovski into retreat. Kharitonov landed another punch to knock down Arlovski, which was followed by powerful ground and pound strikes. The referee Kevin Mulhall was forced to stop the action, as Andrei Arlovski laid motionless on the canvas.
Kharitonov is the first fighter to advance into semi-finals, where he'll meet the winner of fight between Josh Barnett and Brett Rogers.

Sad to see AA get KO'd again....he's taken a lot of damage recently he should consider retiring
lol... arlovski was not moving ! his legs and arms were straight. he was out for a bit.
I thought he may have lost his life when I saw him laying prone after getting koed...

Yea....only Liddell is legitimately dangerous and up until liddell gets KO'd he's actually doing well.

Good victory by Kharitanov. Arlovski was doing well in the beginning.
i wouldnt make to much of arlofski chin kharitoniv hit's like hammer he also holds a first round ko over allistar and a tko victory over semmy schilt
for sure. Sergei has KO power. He's KO'd many during his MMA career
Andrei was just backing himself into the cage and takin powerful shots. He was doin well up until he got caught but aint that how it is for every fighter.
My favourite moment was when Kharitonov KO'd Arlovski. I feel bad for Andrei having his 4th loss like that but man, I'm so happy to see Kharitonov back to his winning ways and into the semis. Kharitonov to fight Reem in the final!
I feel really bad for arlovski. he was knocked out cold. I'm not a doctor but he should not take much more of these knock outs. it's really similar to the Chuck Liddell situation before he tretired.
Arlovski can't hang with the big leagues any more. He'll be like Sylvia now fighting in small town shows
I find it hard to believe that a fighter with Arlovski's experience would allow himself to be backed into the cage, when it was clearly disadvantageous, as well as easily avoided with footwork.
Another mistake Arlovski made was clinching with Kharitonov, who used dirty boxing to good effect--including devasting uppercuts. No one's chin can take that kind of abuse. I am not certain why he clinched--perhaps he was tired? He was succeeding when he kept his distance, then attacked--but somehow, Kharitonov's slow, flatfooted, methodical advance cornered him.
Many here will question Arlovski's chin, but I question his octagon tactics which allowed him to get tagged once too often.
AA's chin is made of baby powder. Please stop fighting. The guy has fallen so far.
